Gunpla – Episode 20

Here it is ladies and gentlemen.  It’s our 20th episode, and to show our appreciation to our viewers, we are celebrating by giving stuff away!  That’s right.  Free Gunpla!  Everyone has a chance to win one of two of the newest Master Grade, the QAN[T]!

Here are the rules:

  • 1) Watch the 20th Episode of Gunpla TV.
  • 2) Answer the question asked at the end of the show (and in text below).
  • 3) Leave a comment in the comment field below with
    a) the answer to the gundam question
    b) tell us what you’d like to see on Gunpla TV in the future.

Please note that only comments posted on the hobbylink.tv blog will be accepted.  Watch Episode 20 on Youtube if it’s better for you but be sure to leave the answer on hobbylink.tv   Also, we will not be approving comments with the answers until the competition ends, but we will be logging the email address of everyone who answers correctly and drawing two names from that, only one entry per  household.  If you answer on Episode 20 and don’t see it posted on the site, you should be glad because you didn’t want to post the answer for all to see and lower your chances of winning. ;)

Okay then.  Here is the question you need to answer correctly for a chance to win.

What Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video?

Disclaimer : The kit doesn’t appear in the interview with Ryan because we forgot to put it in the scene when filming, so don’t worry about that one.

    MG Deathscythe EW Custom!

  • Josh on 11/26/2010 at 17:43

And I wanna see that PG build!

  • Citrus on 11/26/2010 at 17:53

The recurring kit is the MG Deathscythe.

As for Gunpla TV, I’d like to see some more kit reviews, kind of like how other reviewers on YouTube present, but just about the same length as episodes are now. You guys get kits a lot earlier than a lot of people, and I think you’re a trustworthy source for unbiased opinions. You’d understand what modellers look for, of course, you’re modellers yourselves. Overall, this program is absolutely fantastic, and I absolutely love it.

  • Graham on 11/26/2010 at 18:03

    1. 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
    2. I think that a kinda of review of all the series of Gundam and their accompanying Gunpla would be cool, i.e. explaining the story of the series and what the kits were like for that series, it would be a cool way to see just have far the franchise has come.

Thanks again for doing this guys!

  • OEE on 11/26/2010 at 18:05

    Hello,

    a) The Gundam kit that appears in every scene is MG Deathscythe;
    b) Why not review a Pg on Gunpla TV.

An keep on keeping on! :P

  • Ash Mann on 11/26/2010 at 18:06

The kit would be 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe EW?

    I’d like to see more camera techniques in the future, like lightings and backgrounds and stuff like that. I myself am not good at those, would be nice to see how you do it ^^;

  • HLJ : Luke on 11/26/2010 at 18:09

Just to let everyone know, the comments are rolling in and all the suggestions are great.
Best of luck to all who enters!

  • Dennis Sim on 11/26/2010 at 18:10

The Ans is :1/144 HGUC EWAC Zack and i hope that there will be more episode on news about gunpla every week may be 2 time a week?

  • Ghostychan on 11/26/2010 at 18:10

Looks like the Master Grade 1/100 Desu Size,… or was it Death Scythe?

aaaanyways, being forced to give some suggestions on future topics,… how about,… battle-damaging your kits – and not just some minor weathering, I’m talking about blown off arms, fried cockpit hatches and baked potatoes!

  • Gerard on 11/26/2010 at 18:23

I know the answer but do i post the answer here? x,x or u want me to email it to you? x,x im new sorry -.- having troubles understanding

  • Gerard on 11/26/2010 at 18:25

#A – I know the answer should i post it here?
#B – From what ive seen in the video it was very amusing and everyone felt lively all i can comment on this is that you guys should keep smiling like always >.<

  • Leon on 11/26/2010 at 18:26

The answer is Bandai’s MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
and i think you left it out a bit at the end though.

The humor in this video was great, especially when Ryan was “checking the stocks”!
I would really like to see more of this in future episodes.
A suggestion for the following episode, maybe show us how to fix broken parts?
Or maybe how to modify some issues you get with some kits, such as Unicorn Gundam Ver.Ka. It has a little problem with the back of the knee as the part was blocking it, making it impossible to bend further. Things like this could be really helpful to those new to gunpla too.

  • Gerard on 11/26/2010 at 18:28

    #A – MG 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe EW*

  • Tyler Politan on 11/26/2010 at 18:30

MG 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe EW appears in every scene =)

  • shiro11 on 11/26/2010 at 18:32

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

Personally I would like to see a video about scribing.

  • Tyler Politan on 11/26/2010 at 18:32

btw i would like to see a tutorial on how to cut the parts off the sprews please. i can never get a good cut. thank you!

  • Rampage on 11/26/2010 at 18:33

    Answer: The 1/100 MG Deathscythe

I’d like to see some older kits. It would be nice to see how Syd could turn an old model (like the rising gundam that’s in the opening credits) into a nice looking model by painting and adding custom parts (maybe even adding or fixing some joints, which are usually the main problem with 1990′s kits like g gundam, wing gundam and gundam x).

  • Noel Costes on 11/26/2010 at 18:54

    a) Kit that appeared in all the scenes
    – >1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

    b) What I would like to see next on gunpla TV?
Well, I would like to see an episode about fixing your model kits. I mean I’ve been collecting Gunpla kits for the past 10 years or so and have started my collection with the Gundam Wing Series and over the years there have been “accidents” with kits falling off shelves and what not. Sure a glue here and there could fix the common cosmetic issues such as broken head fins or weapons and accessories but the real difficulty is fixing those joints. For example the arms are usually made with a male peg on the upper arm connecting to a female slot on the lower arm, any tips on restoring a broken peg D.Y.I. style would be great. Also another thing is that overtime the joints tend to get loose so tips on how to make the joints tight for posing would also be great. My HGUC Xekueins have this issue where he just falls apart from the shoulders down to the legs all because of the joints becoming loose overtime. And keep the updates on the new releases coming and really love it when you showed the Hobbyshow last month since most of us can’t really go there.

  • Leon Kwok on 11/26/2010 at 18:59

Answer: The Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.

A few ideas for Gunpla episodes:

o A tour to the Bandai Hobby Center would be great as most of us won’t have opportunity to visit that :) ; something similar to the FineMold tour which Scott did no long ago.
o To build the new PG Strike Freedom Gundam from start to finish…
o I would love to see episodes on how to convert a PG Astray Red Frame into a PG Astray Blue Frame (second revise L with the huge sword / tactical arm)…
o Some advance Gunpla building technique (e.g. pick some examples from the Hobby Japan as it’s mostly in Japanese and it’s hard to understand).
o The idea is to get more and more people excited in building Gunpla to the next level :) .
o Would be good to have episodes to show users content… and how they built their Gunpla :) .

  • John G on 11/26/2010 at 19:02

MG Deathscythe EW is the kit in every shot.
As am idea how about comparing really old kits to their newer versions to help people appreciate how far gunpla has come in the last 30 years. Comparing the RG Char’s Zaku with a very old zaku kit would really show how advanced the kits have become.

  • Daniel on 11/26/2010 at 19:03

    Hey Syd!

Love what you’re doing on Gunpla TV. The kit that shows up in every scene of episode 20 is the MG DEATHSCYTHE. One thing I wouldn’t mind seeing on Gunpla TV is how to mod the head of a MG kit so that the seam line is removed yet the face plate can be attached later on. Something like what you did with your MK Musha build on gaijingunpla. Thanks again!

    Daniel

  • Randhy on 11/26/2010 at 19:04

What Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video? it’s MG Deatscythe EW ! :)

Gunpla TV’s been great. in terms of techniques, you’ve covered everything from cutting and sanding to painting and weathering, even modifications and battle-damages, and you’ve done/assembed/shown most of Gunpla’s lineup (the only things left are First Grades, EX Models, Non-grades, and RGs).

but then, i never see, even just once, HLJ’s Japanese staff(s)… so, why don’t u guys put them on the camera every once in a while ? :)

  • Michael Bernard Lim on 11/26/2010 at 19:27

    a) 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

    b) I loved the 20th episode of gunpla tv, especially the part where Syd is constantly interrupting Ryan and the bloopers.

I’d like to see some more advanced gunpla building techniques like how to use the Tamiya epoxy putty and pla plates to fill in holes.

  • Sebastian Bourgois on 11/26/2010 at 19:28

    MG gundam Deathscythe EW version

I would like to see a comparison between the first mastergrade and the most recent one.

  • Julius Aguisanda on 11/26/2010 at 19:29

    A) MG1/100 Gundam Deathscythe EW

    B) I’m hoping that you guys would film a series of videos showing us a detailed tour of the BANDAI factory. Showing us how Gunplas are made from start to finish. There are a bit of videos on the internet but they are of low-quality and mostly in Japanese. I’d really appreciate if you take this idea into consideration!

  • Kamm on 11/26/2010 at 19:38

    Master Grade Deathscythe

So far everything on Gunpla.tv has been great a beginner like myself can go back to the beginning and learn so much from episode 1 right through. My suggestion would be to have a friendly competition between 2 guys in the office, take your favourite gundam or (allow the opponent to pick your gundam! for the contest) and build/paint/mod the kit how ever you want. Because its only for fun it will encourage others to maybe join in.

  • Petch on 11/26/2010 at 19:42

    a) 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

    b) How to paint on coated or finished surface (i.e. Titanium finishedX

  • Louis Lai on 11/26/2010 at 19:46

Deathscythe Gundam appearred in every scene.
You could show us how to build a PG kit.

  • Anthony Un on 11/26/2010 at 20:00

The gundam that appeared in the scenes is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version. I would like to see more of how to paint and spray the gunplas and gives more basic tutorials on how to airbrush or paint the kits. Extra panel lining guides would be better as well. Thanks

  • John Un on 11/26/2010 at 20:03

The gunpla that I saw was the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version. I would like to see more of customizations techniques that would help enhance the gunplas.

  • Priza on 11/26/2010 at 20:13

What Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video?

    b) Distressing the surface of the model to convey a greater sense of realism

  • Peter on 11/26/2010 at 20:24

MG Deathscythe appears in every scene ^_^…..As for what I like to see in the future…perhaps some kit bashing and I would also like to see older vintage kits as well :D

  • Leandro on 11/26/2010 at 20:26

How will the model be sent to the winner? Is the shipping free?

  • HLJ : Luke on 11/26/2010 at 20:26

@ G.A. yes you post the answer here in the comment section, good luck.

  • HLJ : Luke on 11/26/2010 at 20:28

@ Leandro, first you’ll have to win the Gundam before we worry about postage. The winners will be contacted with all the necessary information.

  • Chris Martirez on 11/26/2010 at 20:29

The gundam kit that showed up in every scene was the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW version. As for what I would like to see in the future, I wouldn’t mind seeing concept art for future gunpla if possible.

  • Munch on 11/26/2010 at 20:30

And when will the contest end?

  • Leandro on 11/26/2010 at 20:31

Ok. Thank you. The answer is MG Deathscythe. I would like to see limited edition models such as clear colors in the future episodes please.

  • Leandro on 11/26/2010 at 20:35

Also when will the winners be announced?

  • HLJ : Luke on 11/26/2010 at 20:45

@ Leandro, the competition will end next Friday the 3rd with the winners being announced in the following episode. You guys will be kept updated with the competitions progress next week.

  • Leandro on 11/26/2010 at 20:48

    Thank you

  • Gianni on 11/26/2010 at 20:52

The answer is “XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe” of course!

What I want to see in the future?
I want to see a video on simulating rust and dirt on Gunpla using brushes, sponges, etc.

  • Jelte on 11/26/2010 at 20:59

According to me, the kit which appears in almost every shot is the kit of the Gundam Deathscythe. If I’d have to make a guess I’d say it is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.

What I’d love to see is what you’d make when building a Gundam kit along with a small diorama. I believe that would make the model even nicer to look at.

  • G.A. on 11/26/2010 at 21:02

    Aha!

    a) It’s the MG DEATHSCYTHE!

    b) What I would like to see? No particular changes. I like Gunpla T.V. as it is :)

  • Ian on 11/26/2010 at 21:09

The Gunpla in every shot is the Master Grade Gundam Deathscythe EW version.

Something I’d like to see are some tips on painting smaller details that can’t be sprayed easily. Things like the head vulcans, or upraised emblems on shields.

  • yangster on 11/26/2010 at 21:14

hi, the recurring gunpla is the MG Deathscythe Endless Waltz version.
would like to see more HG reviews here =D

  • Kentaro on 11/26/2010 at 21:22

Hello there Syd ( or Luke or whoever is watching this video)

I am interested in joining this contest and is the answer MG Gundam Deathscythe Ew Version? :http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN964564

    Thanks!

  • Infrasmell on 11/26/2010 at 21:22

    a) MG Deathscythe Ver. Ka.

    b) i like to see an in-depth review of newly-released kits. I like the unboxing, the plates that comes along, just like rrobbert184 channel in youtube….i really like his style…it’s very entertaining. Also give the audience an idea what will be the next kit for release especially in master grade line. Also looking forward seeing Traviss on your future episodes…he’s really funny. Thanks and hope I win^^

  • Brendan Oi on 11/26/2010 at 21:27

Answer: Master Grade 1/100 XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe
I would like to see Perfect Grade 1/60 Strike Freedom Gundam in future episode.

  • Wan Ashraff Ikhwan on 11/26/2010 at 21:28

Answer : 1/100 Master Grade Gundam Deathscythe EW Version (Ver. Ka)

Idea : Since HLJ has quite a following, I’d suggest a small segment per episode on upcoming figures/gunpla/model kits, maybe a quick 2 minute segment. Seeing loads of comments on youtube saying “OMG I didn’t know this was out” etc, so by doing an upcoming releases segment, it’d really help people out, especially those who don’t know where to check for the releases.

  • John on 11/26/2010 at 21:29

Master Grade deathcythe! and I think you should talk more aout primer and topcoat bevause tht stuff STILL confuzzes me

  • Connor on 11/26/2010 at 21:32

MG deathcythe ver ka and you should talk about effect parts :)

  • Wizartar on 11/26/2010 at 21:34

Would love to see some Macross builds and you did tease during this episode! The VF-25S/F are great kits, good for water decals! Or even some of the classics which are getting a re-issue like the 1/200 VB-6 König Monster or 1/100 Regult Battlepod

  • Gladys on 11/26/2010 at 21:34

What I’d Like to see:What I really like to see is maybe the differences between the MG 00 Qan[T],and the MG Exia,or maybe, another thing what i’d like to see is the difference of the Unicorn Gundam(both but Mostly I think Destroy mode is better HGUC and the Sinanju HGUC

  • NagaTen on 11/26/2010 at 21:51

The kit that appears in every scene is the MG Deathscythe!

As to what i’d like to see in gunpla tv… It would be nice to see some Hard Graph or EX model kits being built as those don’t get much coverage online.
And if you’re not sticking to just kit building videos it would be interesting to see some modeling/painting/airbrushing technique videos as well!

Thanks for the opportunity! And thanks for all the nice videos!

  • Matt on 11/26/2010 at 21:54

I would like to see not only Gunpla to be introduced but the combination of other mechas, figma, figures, model kits and review of the new releases as well. This will give more more confidence to buy those kits.

  • Wesley Fax on 11/26/2010 at 22:11

The 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version Kit was shown in every shot.

    b) I have always been fond of older kits, so a rundown or old kits or something like a history of Gunpla models from back in the day would be an awesome episode.

  • Spencer Hu on 11/26/2010 at 22:15

a)The master grade Deathscythe was the kit to show up in every shot.
    b) I was going to suggest a perfect grade but, it was already implied that you guys were planning on doing the one coming out in December (Strike Freedom I assume) so my suggestion is to show how to mask parts off for custom paint schemes.

    Hope I win!~

  • Mel on 11/26/2010 at 22:15

Here are my answer for HLJ’s Gunpla TV Competition

    a. What Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video?

Answer: The Gunpla which appears on nearly all segment of the episode is the, Master Grade Deathscythe Gundam (EW Version).

    b. Tell us what you’d like to see on Gunpla TV in the future.

Answer: As a consumer, I wish to see more build or mini-reviews on futures of Gunpla TV. Doing so, it will help us learn more about a product and allow us to pick kits which will catch our fancy and not feel bad about it after learning of the faults on the kit.

A few more segments of modeling tips will also help in educating people on how to fix loose joints and other issues which were brought about due to the manufacturing process (for example, the loose leg connectors on kits such as the Masurao and the new GN Brave kits)

Hoping my suggestions may be of help to make Gunpla TV more educating and entertaining for viewers. More power HLJ and Gunpla TV

  • Charles I. Kim on 11/26/2010 at 22:16

    @HLJ
What Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video?
ANSWER: 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version is the kit that appears

What you’d like to see on Gunpla TV in the future?
ANSWER: In a future episode of Gunpla TV, I’d like to see you guys do a comparison between various Master Grade kits. For example, it would cool to see a comparison video on the MG Strike Gundam vs. MG Strike Freedom. Or you could do comparisons between different versions of MG kits. So an example would be like MG Unicorn Gundam Ver. Ka vs. MG Unicorn Gundam OVA Version vs. MG Unicorn Gundam HD Colors + MS Cage.

  • John on 11/26/2010 at 22:16

The Gundam model kit is the Master Grade Deathscythe ver Ka.
What I would like to see, is a translation of the information on the box and/or manual on some of the kits.

    Nobody ever does this…ever.

  • Joseph V. Caraan on 11/26/2010 at 22:18

    a. 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.

By the way I think the 1/144 Dendro would make for a great series of vids. I have been sitting on mine for 2 years now. “Just do it”.

What about some vids on Water Slide Decal application. How to do it, what solvents to use, how to avoid silvering and how to fix bubbles after the decal has been applied and dried. The stickers that come with the kits really do not produce great results plus you will just be encouraging everyone to spend more money at HLJ.

Another thing that has not been covered and is probably the most important part of Gunpla is surfice prep. Sanding, priming and then the final wet sanding to get the smoothest paint job.

Another idea I had was a vid featuring some of the user submitted work. There has been a lot going up and a vid featuring some of the best work would be a nice salute to those who contribute to the section.

Anyway those are my suggestions. Good luck to everyone.

I have a question though. Isn’t HLJ in Japan? Where are all the Japanese employees?

  • Mauro Miccolis on 11/26/2010 at 22:25

Hi, the kit that appears in every scene is the Gundam DeathScythe EW Master Grade. In the future I would like to see some metal build action figures and MSIA. Also some more bloopers. Hope to win! Keep it up guys!

  • Rajel D. Eusebio on 11/26/2010 at 22:29

It’s the Gundam Deathsyche by Duo Maxwell ( if im not mistaken with the pilot)….

The only comments that are visible to the rest of the world are the ones that don’t have answers in them. You can see your own comments but no one else can.

Are you sure that no one can see my answer?

Are you sure that no one can see my answer? Or is it the only answer I can see is my answer?

  • Rajel D. Eusebio on 11/26/2010 at 22:33

  • Leandro on 11/26/2010 at 22:34

  • Mika on 11/26/2010 at 22:40

LOL you guys are so hilarious.

    Here are my answers :3

The gundam in the video is Deathscythe the Endless Waltz Version.

As for what you should add in future episodes, I think that you interview some pro gunpla builders in Japan for some tips and tricks.

  • Rajel on 11/26/2010 at 22:42

can everyone join no matter where they lived?

  • HLJ : Luke on 11/26/2010 at 22:43

@ Leandro and everyone else asking the same questions worrying a about the visability of your answers. Please stop worrying, we have already stated to others that you can see your own posts and any posts I choose to approve without answers in them.

@ Aaron we clearly stated you have to post your answer within the 20th episode post which is this post. We have your answer and no one else can see it so there is no need to worry!

@ Rajel you can see your own answer post but no one else can.

  • HLJ : Luke on 11/26/2010 at 22:44

@ Rajel yes any one can join.

  • Leon on 11/26/2010 at 22:49

you should have appeared in the vid and show us who’s going through all the trouble to filter our comments and give us free gunpla!

  • bryanz09 on 11/26/2010 at 22:52

    a. 1/100 Master Grade Gundam Deathscythe Endless Waltz Ver.

    b. What i’d like to see on Gunpla TV in the future is that i hope that this site and its news and updates would become a lot better, more interesting and become very popular.

Gundam Deathsycthe! U guys are AWESOME! :D I would like to you guys to show how to apply decals. I nt so sure hw coz I just I’m still new at this, thx :)

  • Ryc03 on 11/26/2010 at 23:00

    Contest answer:
I believe the answer is the Master Grade 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe Endless Waltz Version. It appear in every scenes, except for the interview with Ryan (or it could be that I just haven’t found it yet. It does appear in all the other scenes of Ryan in the warehouse though)

    Suggestion:
It is not exactly Gunpla, but I think it is a great idea to extend into the Kotobukiya model line such as Super Robot Wars, Virtual-On, Broken Blade and Armored Core. I think model builders new to articulated models will be interested in the differences between different brands and what to look out for.

A more Gunpla related suggestion is episodes about fixing loose joints, and even about repair damages. Having been in the hobby for several years, I found that problems such as loose parts, weakening polycaps could appear in new as well as old model kits, and it is very useful to know how to give a model a new lease of life.

  • Julius on 11/26/2010 at 23:10

    The Deathscythe EW Version

  • Leon Kan on 11/26/2010 at 23:11

  • Deslon on 11/26/2010 at 23:27

Hi HLJ! this is my answer to the question in ur 20th episode of gunpla tv!

Answer : 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

I personally feel that the future episodes of gunpla tv could include short and simple tips on basic gundam modelling. For instance, in the previous episode where using enamel paint to paint the sinanju. Perhaps you could demonstarate how to cut the parts out of the sprues? or even show how to cement parts together as some people do not know how much cement to apply or how to apply it. Some other simple tips may include sanding, puttying, priming, and also even simple kit builds. the competitions’re great and the videos are very entertaining, keep up the good work hobby link tv! :D

  • Zack on 11/26/2010 at 23:29

MG Deathcythe Endless Waltz Ver and you should talk about the real grade line more

can you feature an Upcoming Gunpla that we should be looking out for?

  • jordan on 11/26/2010 at 23:37

    a) the kit is MG Death Scythe
    b) you guys have been doing great. including macross and machine krieger into gunpla tv is a great idea. as I am a fan of macross. what i would like to see are some old kits being reviewed in hobbytv. as so far, only the new kits are being reviewed. and can you release the episodes more frequent. i think we are getting one episode a week. i have to wait a week to catch 10 minutes of syd… :(
    all in all… hlj rocks.

  • Paulo Augusto on 11/26/2010 at 23:38

The kit is 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

I’d like to see regular people, that never built a plastic model before, building a Gunpla. Of course it would not be anyone, but people who share the interest, or at least have curiosity about it. This would be helpful to show how easy and fun is for anyone to build a gunpla. My girlfriend and some friends think it’s hard, but if they see girls or newbies building kits, like SDs, HGs, or even MG, I think they would be more excited about it!

  • Dmitriy on 11/26/2010 at 23:41

Ok – this “secret” kit is 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version! :)
    Answer for the second question:
Continue with the idea of “behind the scenes”. Show funny moments in your work, work shop, lives in the company, and Japan.
    Thank you very much!
    Sincerely,
    Dmitriy.

  • VIc on 11/26/2010 at 23:42

Also, I would like to see more tutorials in terms of painting through the use of handbrushing and spray-painting. This would help other gunpla modelers, since not everyone can invest in an airbrush and compressor xD

Thanks HLJ and the hobbylinktv team!

Gundam : MG Deathscythe EW version.
Idea for the Show: I don’t know if it’s possible but maybe do a show about the factory of Bandai where they make the Gunpla. I would love to see the process or just an explaination about how they develop new kits. If this is not possible, then I would like to see a build of a Super Robot War kit, the coming Exbein would be great, and seeing it being a Version Katoki, I would think it will come out very nicely.

Cheers and keep the good work!

  • Simon Yap on 11/27/2010 at 01:02

    HI, this is Simon here,
Nice video taken there and Syd, Ryan, Luke and Traviss all also quite funny. Nicely done

Q: which gundam kit was seen all scene shot?
Answer: The MG 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe.

I was like thinking, how about doing something different, like maybe you can show us how to make a Diaroma set with war effect on the gundam or zaku?
Or how about modifying something for the gunpla kit, like for example you can make a booster pack, a beam cannon or maybe a bazooka by using other stuff like rod, tube, pla plate and thing others than the parts in the gunpla kits.

    Thanks

  • Siefu on 11/27/2010 at 01:06

  • Deikun on 11/27/2010 at 01:07

    Model: MG 1/100 Deathscythe, actually wondered why that was everywhere through the shoot… ^^;

Suggestions: I’d be interested in seeing the RG 1/144 Zaku II Char Custom or the PG Strike Freedom, when they’re out (Though I think the Real Grade would be easier to do in terms of time).

  • W1N9Zr0 on 11/27/2010 at 01:10

As for what I would like to see, I guess I would like to see more modding. Maybe some use of pla plate.

  • Simon Yap on 11/27/2010 at 01:15

something like the Dengeki Hobby July 2009, in the magazine, how they use the MG Gouf ver 2.0 to make it so totally different from the others.

  • RedNova on 11/27/2010 at 01:15

    MG Titanium Shinanju

  • Christopher on 11/27/2010 at 01:23

The answer the the question is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version .

It would be nice to see comparisons of kits between the 1/100th and 1/144th scales, also if a kit has defects in a particular part or sub assembly.

  • james on 11/27/2010 at 01:24

Answer: 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version (As copy and pasted from HLJ, to avoid any possible confustion with the silly naming scheme Bandai chose)

Suggestion: Macross kits, definitely, like Ryan suggested, or perhaps older kits. Would be nice to see Syd tackle a kit that has no snapping whatsoever.

  • Vektar on 11/27/2010 at 01:26

The MG Deathscythe is seen in through out the video.

Id also like to see a few tips maybe on pla plates and how to apply putty.

  • Bryant on 11/27/2010 at 01:30

    a) Gundam Deathscythe
    b) Showing us the actual detailed articulation of the figures as well as the negatives that it comes with, parts falling off, etc.

  • Alexander on 11/27/2010 at 01:31

    it’s the deathscythe ew version!

can you show us more aftermarket parts? thanks.

  • Munch on 11/27/2010 at 01:36

    OK, here is my answer:
a)The appear-in-every-scene gundam is obviously the MG Deathscyte gudam, http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN964564
and b)I would love to see how gunpla is made.I mean every (or almost every) step, starting with a sketch of a disigner and 3D computer model to making and packing the runners. I would also like to see some gundams crossovers, you know, mixing several kits in one robot. And the last idea is the masterpiece if PG gundam.

  • Justin on 11/27/2010 at 01:40

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.
What I’d like to see more from gunpla TV in the future is just the continuation of it. I believe the content you guys provide is great for introducing new people to the hobby itself and you guys have been doing an awesome job to this point so far. Keep it up.

  • Andrew Gomes on 11/27/2010 at 01:41

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version. I would love to see tutorials on airbrushing gunpla. I have just started building gunpla and just bought an airbrush kit so some tutorials on pre and post shading would be cool. It was so cool getting to meet some more of the excellent team behind HLJ so i would like to see more of them too! Keep up the great work, and thank you for helping to bring this great hobby to the UK!

  • Chris Russo on 11/27/2010 at 01:42

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

I would like to see more demonstrations with paints (eg. hand painting, ratios for mixing paint, different types of paint).

  • Sebastian Frias on 11/27/2010 at 01:47

    MG gundam deathsycthe EW

Do kit speculation, i would imagine you guys might hear rumors about new kits coming out or that bandai might be working on or thinking about making, like the rumor of a possible MG GP01 or Alex 2.0

Also more comedy couldn’t hurt Ep 20 was pretty damn funny

  • Tony Wong on 11/27/2010 at 01:49

i love HLJ and i love the new MG QUANTA!

  • John Logan McKee on 11/27/2010 at 01:50

    Deathscythe
When a shot is taken on camera, there is a lot extra area around the subject of the shot. In video as with still photography, the old adage is “if you better photographs (shots) get closer”
This is even truer, say when Syd is unboxing or even holding the boxed product, and Syd and the product make up only about 30 percent of the total picture. The better the customer can see the product (and Syd’s charming smile), the more product you’ll sell. What’s in the box is important too. It’s hard to sell a pig in a poke.

  • Sebastian on 11/27/2010 at 01:52

Firstly, its the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe ew version.
Secondly, I got a good idea for the show… Why not let the watchers choose the next kit… Like tell which kits that’ll be available next time and then we can vote… It makes you feel a little like a part of the show when your choice gets picked…

  • Dave The Chef on 11/27/2010 at 01:59

It’s the Bandai 1/100 MG Deathscythe EW Version

I’d like to see some diorama work with the Gundams from Syd.

  • john sew on 11/27/2010 at 02:04

a.) 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
b.) i would like to see on hobbylink.tv maybe some news on the gunpla world like what kits are on the works, whats hajime katoki’s next project anything that involves gunpla that the world needs to know

  • ivan_amarillento on 11/27/2010 at 02:05

The answer to the question is the: Master Grade 1/100 Endless Waltz Gundam Deathsycthe (ver. Ka)
    - I would like to see on the next episode (hopefully) a guide or a tutorial about the color guide inside each gunpla kit manual since i dont really understand japanese text.. or maybe suggest a link to a site where there is a translation for each color..
    - i would like also to see an episode for a tutorial on how to use an action base in making a basic diorama or a fight scene between model kits..

Congratulations on the 20th episode thanks for the videos…

  • randall on 11/27/2010 at 02:06

the model kit is the master grade gundam dethsythe endless waltz and i think you should do some more tutorials on mods or painting ideas thanks i enjoyed learning aboutthe extra finish on the sinanju thanks

  • Aulon on 11/27/2010 at 02:07

Kit that appears in all scenes is MG Deathscythe Endless Waltz version: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN964564

Mine Idea is to show some diorma works and intoduce some other “semi gunpla” kits – I mean mostly Macross Valkyries by Bandai and Hasegawa and Armored Core Variable Infinity kits from Kotobukiya,

Would be great to see some valks as they don’t get enough love :]

  • Jonnathan Melo Pessoa de Andrade Gadêlha on 11/27/2010 at 02:13

The kit is the MG Deathscythe EW.
I´d like to see Syd building the 1/144 HGUC Dendrobium.
Thank you for keep doing this incredible TV program called GunplaTV and thank you for the oportunity to give free stuff to people like me that don´t have conditions yet to buy Gunpla.
    Thank you for your attention.

  • leongsoon on 11/27/2010 at 02:27

Its the MG Gundam Deathscythe EW!! I’d like to see more big kit builds at hobbylink.tv in the future! MOAR Perfect Grades!! Btw, the size of the Dendrobium box shocked me!!

  • George on 11/27/2010 at 02:27

A bit tricky in the beginning, but toward the middle of the video it’s pretty much the only Gundam in the shot… I thought you guys were gonna make this a challenge!

I hope Bandai releases the TV version of this kit as a MG one of these days. The version they did release isn’t exactly my style: though I do think it’s a nice design, and I think it’s cool that they finally released a plastic kit of it (it was only available as a resin conversion kit for the longest time…)

You know what’s a great kit? The HGUC Geara Doga! Maybe you should build one of those on Gunpla TV… I haven’t finished my first one but I couldn’t resist ordering a second one in the recent sale…

  • Indrajaya on 11/27/2010 at 02:28

The answer to the gundam question
–> 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version Code: BAN964564

What I’d like to see on Gunpla TV in the future
    -More New model review
-MG ver 1 vs ver1.5 vs ver2 difference, strengh, weakness, and how to differentiate the version

  • Zangetsu on 11/27/2010 at 02:31

I would like to see the RG Char’s Zaku

  • Roha Taitt on 11/27/2010 at 02:32

MG Gundam Deathscythe EW is in every shot… as far as ideas go how about doing size comparison between 144/100 and 60 also tutorial on a PG kit.

  • Hin Yeung Kwan on 11/27/2010 at 02:40

    The answer to the question.
1/100 MG Deathscythe Gundam EW Ver. Ka appeared on most shots during ep. 20 of HLJ Gunpla TV.

Idea: Hi Syd!! Please show us the use of various putty types to cure and remove seams or modify parts with plastic plates! I would appreciate that very much!

Comment: I totally like this episode!

  • Daniel on 11/27/2010 at 02:40

Master Grade Deathscythe. As far as Gungpla TV I would definantly like to see more straight builds, Spanning 4 or 5 episodes, building/reviewing/moding. Would also like to see PG reviews, whats the good and the bad for each kit.

    Keep up the great work.

  • Garrett on 11/27/2010 at 02:41

I’d have to say that the gundam appearing in every shot is one of my favorites, the new MG Deathscyth Endless Waltz version. As for what to see in the future, I’d like some more advanced techniques like preshading and working with alclad paints for metallics. Gotta say I always tune into the show and am glad you keep putting it up week after week, so thanks for that guys.

  • Salvio on 11/27/2010 at 02:46

Hi!! you’re great!! Your lessons are very useful !!!! :-)
I think the Gundam is :
    MG Gundam Deathscythe

    Thanks again. :-)

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
    http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN964564
(I hope I got it right)

You should do an episode that showcases peoples gundams.
Have them send in a picture with a single or group model and you would say a short comment about the selected ones you picked. I think it would be great to see the work of other Gunpla fans.

  • Joe on 11/27/2010 at 02:51

1/100 MG Deathscythe EW Version appears in every scene. I would love to see some work on older kits, like the 1/144 Gundam Wing or Endless Walts kits. There’s some hype about the Endless Waltz designs, speculation on MG releases and such. I think those just might make for good Gunpla TV! Failing that, what about showing off some of the B-club hands or conversion kits?

  • Hye Min Jang on 11/27/2010 at 02:52

the MG Deathscythe ver. Ka….appeared alot…. I want to see any PG because i wanted to build one, and i want to know which is good kit to build a PG

  • Julio Cesar Ruiz Ibarra on 11/27/2010 at 03:00

What Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video?
Is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.

I ‘d like to see some tips to make the inner frame of the upcoming PG Strike Freedom look shiny, because I like the golden frame and I don not want to paint it.

  • Filipe on 11/27/2010 at 03:06

Answer: MG Gundam Deathscythe EW version( actually wondered why he was in every single shot the 1st time I saw it^_^)
suggestion : you could show your staff’s gunpla collection. what better way to show your entusiasm then showing off your collection? also, it would be cool to see how gundam affects everyday’s life over there in japan, not just events but the culture in itself…
    Thanks

  • Michael on 11/27/2010 at 03:07

Mg Deathscythe apears in every shot, and i would like to see more comedy like in this episode.

  • ZhenZhuo Tan on 11/27/2010 at 03:07

the gundam kit that is in every sot is the 1/100 MG XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe EW

the idea that i am thinking of for hobby link is doing reviews on popular modle kits like 00 quanta.

  • Jeffery on 11/27/2010 at 03:08

The new bandai 1/100 EW Deathsythe is the kit you are talking about. As far as an idea, why not have a fan come build a kit with you on Gunpla TV

  • Srihari Tc on 11/27/2010 at 03:12

XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe- thats the one in every scene

  • Srihari Tc on 11/27/2010 at 03:14

oh… and an idea i had for Gunpla Tv is to build the pefect grade strike freedom gundam thats coming out…

  • Lay Yulius on 11/27/2010 at 03:21

    1. 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version (BAN964564).

    2. I want watch / give idea,
whether this only applies to gunpla only / allowed the other?
if only gunpla, how to paint using paint tamiya gunpla or mr.colour with a brush (not that such episodes of 12, using spray paint).

if allowed to others, what if HLJ explain each product, such as SIC, PVC, because that kind of stuff is false as well (Japanese version – the original, version hongkong – false)

Answer: MG 1/100 Scale Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

What I want to see on Gunpla TV: PG 1/60 Strike Freedom

  • Neath Nou on 11/27/2010 at 03:27

    a) Well, I hope that the mystery Syd-stalker Gundam is the 1/144 Deathscythe kit and…
    b) and I would love to see the Dendrobium built! :) Also would like to see Gunpla TV explore the various bases for kits out there along with some insight into those neat third party custom accessories that you guys sell here.

I’m really new to this (have only built 2 kits so far), so some more newbie tips now and then would be great. I’m trying to win this kit for my little brother since he’s such a fan of the Exia legacy Gundams.

Thank you guys at HLJ for doing this and for being such an amazing and elaborate place to shop. Oh and please do warn Syd that “Death” seems to be following him :)

  • Eric on 11/27/2010 at 03:35

the gundam is the aster grade deathscythe EW

  • Alintata on 11/27/2010 at 03:35

    Hi all,

Nice contest you have here, my answer are as follow:
    a) The Gundam kit is Master Grade Deathscythe;
    b) Why not do a review on the Perfect Grade Strike Freedom when it appears.

Thank you for all the episodes!

  • Eric on 11/27/2010 at 03:36

sorry it’s master and i would like to see a sd kit

  • Alex on 11/27/2010 at 03:39

The formentioned gundam kit happened to be the MG Deathscythe EW ver.

As for the suggestion, i would really like to see an episode dedicated to the aftermarket products modelers can buy, specifically the variety of choices one has to chose from

  • Alex on 11/27/2010 at 03:40

Hi! I’d like to post my answer to the giveaway question!

The kit that appeared in every scene of the video was the Master Grade Deathscythe EW Version (as it’s called on HLJ’s site)

What I’d like to see from Gunpla TV in the future? Well, I’d like to say first of all that I think what you’re all doing here is fantastic, and it’s a great thing for the online Gunpla community. To answer the question, though, I think I’d like to see an episode or two focused on new hobbyists, who’re looking to “buy a Gundam” but don’t know all about the different grades and scales, etc. A sort of “Gunpla Buyer’s Guide” would be great, although, a very detailed one would be quite the project! Other than that suggestion, though, I love what’s being created here, and I hope you can continue to be such a great resource to modelers everywhere.

    Thanks!

  • Matt on 11/27/2010 at 03:44

The kit is the XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe 1/100 MG from Endless Waltz. I would like to see tips for painting or detailing to make your gunpla really stand-out.

  • Daniel Lopez on 11/27/2010 at 03:49

well it was MG Deathscythe EW that comes out hehe, and what i want to ask u guys or my idea is well, u do show alot of MG kits and 1/100, but theres some of us out there that love SD kits, but sometimes theres so many little parts to paint its hard, can u do a tutorial on how to pain sd kits with such a tight space and all? thank you that is my idea

  • michelle on 11/27/2010 at 03:49

the gundam that showed up was the deathscythe also i would like to see more behind the scenes episode

  • Andres on 11/27/2010 at 03:49

The kit is the MG deathscythe EW ver.
I would like to see how the shipping is handled.

  • Kevin N on 11/27/2010 at 03:55

    a) the kit featured in every scene was the Master Grade Deathscythe
    b) in the future, I’d like to see more giveaways! But if that’s not realistic, I’d like to see a tour of the Bandai factory if possible.

  • Chris Lam on 11/27/2010 at 04:02

The kit that appears in every scene – 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

My idea – I know this is weird but I had always wanted to see packing and shipping. Kidding XD Maybe more interviews of other staff members and their love for gunpla? If not then I wouldnt mind more tips for buidling and details ;)

  • Takuya on 11/27/2010 at 04:04

    1/100 mg deathscythe ver. ka

  • Tiffany on 11/27/2010 at 04:08

    a) The kit is the 1/100 Master Grade Deathsythe EW version.
    b) I actually am interested to see some of the metal composite GFF Gundam reviews. These are so expensive that just by looking at pictures, I can’t really tell the build quality and the actual make of the item, so it would be nice. There are already too many gunpla reviews on youtube.

  • TemjinTBW on 11/27/2010 at 04:09

The kit in every shot is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

What I would like to see in future episodes is scratch building! I love doing this for my own kits and I love seeing original ideas or modifications to existing kits. Luke’s frostbite The-O is a great example with the added missile launchers. More macross would be great as well. Maybe a custom model showcase episode?

  • jiaming on 11/27/2010 at 04:09

Answer : Master Grade XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe EW

Idea : Ever since i watch hobbylink’s vidoe on youtube, i was hoping to see the good and bad points of every new release kits. For example, the good things for 00 Qan[T] are it is very solid and can do a bunch of interesting poses while the bad thing is the side armor always wants to pop out

For a gunpla collector like me, normally i will survey the good and bad things about the kits before i purchase it so that i can make a decision whether it is worth to buy it. Perhaps every gunpla collector would do like me so that they will buy their favourite kits without any regret.

    Thank you.

  • Tiziano on 11/27/2010 at 04:11

The answer is 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.
And as for an idea, I hope this counts, a Perfect Grade build, and if it doesn’t then I would suggest a Real Grade series build. Since you guys already did the first one in the series you could do an episode for every new one that comes out.

  • Affun on 11/27/2010 at 04:14

My answer is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe: Endless Waltz Version.

One thing I would like to see on Gunpla TV is delving into the more advanced side of Gunpla, such as using Styrene or Metal Option Parts from 3rd party distributors. I’m a heavy modder myself and I would very much be interested to see how Gunpla TV deals with such a fun and unique process.

  • Raniero Rosica on 11/27/2010 at 04:15

FREE GUNPLA : The kit is Gundam Deathscythe EW Version Master Grade

  • dann99 on 11/27/2010 at 04:19

the answer is: XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe EW

and what i would like to see on gunpla tv in the future is some model kit from the ’00 gundam’ series…because i rarely see any model kit from ’00 gundam’….

  • Jeff Messinger on 11/27/2010 at 04:24

    Answer
    a) The model is the Master Grade 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

    b) And for the thing I would most like to see on Gunpla TV in the furture would be some sort of segment where you post pics of user made gunpla. I think showing some of the user created gunpla could be really cool and pass on great ideas to others.

    Keep up the excellent work!

  • Dave W on 11/27/2010 at 04:29

So… Which Gundam? It’s the 1/100 MG Deathscythe EW Version!

And what I’d like to see in following episodes: BLOOPERS! They’re so funny and make the show even better, as it makes it look more real :)

  • Jorell Reyes on 11/27/2010 at 04:48

the gunpla featured on this video is the MG 1/100 XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe (Endless Waltz) Ver. Ka

I would love to see interview with 川口 克己 on Gunpla TV :) … This would make his fans very very happy. Thanks for listening !!!!

  • The_Kumatei on 11/27/2010 at 05:02

Deathsythe from Gundam Wing. The redesigned Katoki version that came out recently. The shield component in the katoki version looks different than usual, which could give it away, so it was removed.

Idea: Make short stop motion scenes of the gundams and use them in the opening. Gundam openings are always scenes of the gundams slashing and shooting at each other.

  • Travis Nguyen on 11/27/2010 at 05:05

The answer to the gunpla question is the 1/100 MG deathscythe hell custom EW. I would also like to see more custom gunpla by Syd.

  • Wesley on 11/27/2010 at 05:17

The model in question is the MG Deathsycthe. As for ideas, instead of going over all the new kits, maybe do a few of the old kits, whether it be MG, HGUC, or even the old kits before HG.

  • Kyle on 11/27/2010 at 05:18

The model that appears in all the scenes is Master Grade Deathscythe Gundam.

An idea that I would like to see on the show is an episode on the Pearl Coated Wing Zero Gundam Perfect Grade from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz.

  • Tommy on 11/27/2010 at 05:25

It’s deathcyte ew and I think you should do a cideo on showing all the gunpla in your warehouse

Answer:1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
-id like to see some more opinions of the HLJ tv staff on their favorite kits and why. also something cool would be grade comparisons. i think it would be really cool if you guys built a whole set of one design. like NG, HG, SD, MG, RG, PG etc…i guess that would only work with Rx-78 and chars zaku..but maybe build a hg, SD, and MG of The O or Gundam MKII etc and compare the 3. something like that :)

  • WingG-EX on 11/27/2010 at 05:42

The Gundam shown throughout is the Deathscythe EW version. As for tips and future episodes. I would like to a tutorial on how to paint the figurines that the MG kits come with.

  • Brenden Croughan on 11/27/2010 at 05:43

The model kit that appears in every shot of this episode is the MG 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe Endless Waltz.
I’d like to see the PG Strike Freedom on Gunpla TV in the future. I’d love to see a PG done! I’ve never built one before.

If you are still looking for a good kit to build how about 1/100 MG Gundam GP1/Fb, 1/60 PG Gundam GP1/Fb and 1/100 MG NuGundam.

  • Abdi Vargas on 11/27/2010 at 07:03

the Gundam that appears in every scene is:
    The 1/100 MG Deathscythe Gundam

i would suggest you make conpetitions more often, and make all the prices MG’s or PG’s
    that would be awsome!!

  • Sebastian on 11/27/2010 at 07:12

Ooops i didn’t write the complete answer! I hope to see the Dendrodium! I think this is the greatest kit ever! Hope to see a lot of new review! I really like you’r episode!

  • ivan on 11/27/2010 at 07:12

the gundam that was most shown was master grade 1/100 gundam deathscythe ew. i started gunpla about one year ago so i would like a tutorial on using color spray cans. am also starting on my first pg which is the gundam mk ll titans version and i would like to know what type of paint brush to use on painting the details and how to paint them. last thing i would to see is a battle damage tutorial.

  • J.R. Lorenzo on 11/27/2010 at 07:13

    MG Gundam Deathscythe EW

  • Jun on 11/27/2010 at 07:25

Great idea on MG Deathscythe EW. Kind of like a Shinigami is looming around haha
On the next episode I would like to see how to mod a kit with LED lights. You folks should do these more often ;D

  • Josh on 11/27/2010 at 07:26

Really digging what you’re doing Syd. Not many videos make Gunpla customizing as accessible to the average guy. The overall friendly tone and information you put out there is rocktastic. Keep it up and I’ll keep watching.

  • Alekos on 11/27/2010 at 07:37

I’d also like to see how to add weathering from things like the desert in the future.

  • C. P. on 11/27/2010 at 07:38

    a) 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

    b) Some Diorama building techniques will be great.

  • Wargamer234 on 11/27/2010 at 07:54

  • Jason Spracklin on 11/27/2010 at 07:56

the answer would be Master Grade Deathscythe. btw i really Enjoy Hobbylink tv

  • Michael Garcia on 11/27/2010 at 07:57

the model in the episode was the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

  • Thinh on 11/27/2010 at 08:05

    When does this end?

  • Matt on 11/27/2010 at 08:32

    I know the answer!
It’s the MG Deathscythe (Endless Waltz)!
I noticed it in several of the scenes, even before I heard the rules.
    *LOL*
As for what I’d like to see on Gunpla TV…
I think it would be really cool to see a video about a Perfect Grade model like the Strike, or Zaku II.
I think it would also be interesting to have a video in which the staff of HobbyLink TV talk about their all-time personal favorite Gunpla kits, or perhaps about how they began their interest in building Gunpla, and how that interest led to their working at HobbyLink.
It might also be fun to watch a time lapse build video of a model kit (something simple like a High Grade, or a 1/100 scale No Grade model).
In any case, I look forward to seeing new episodes of Gunpla TV soon!
    Thanks for the opportunity!

  • Chris Martirez on 11/27/2010 at 08:37

Ahh so no wonder why I could still see my post. Haha that was starting to make me wonder a bit why my post was there. Anyway great work so far guys. -insert typical anime thumbs up here- ;3

  • Thinh on 11/27/2010 at 08:37

    1. MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
    2. I want to see how to make custom gunplas

  • ghostdein1 on 11/27/2010 at 08:38

MG Death Scythe! I don’t have that kit yet, but would love to win one! Keep up the good work guys!

  • Cristobal Lara on 11/27/2010 at 08:39

    Hi!

The answer to the gundam question:
1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

I like to see more gundam kit reviews, and more painting techniques…

Really a great job with that 20 episodes!

  • Jedmir Olino on 11/27/2010 at 08:46

The Answer is the HGUC RX-78-2. What I want to see in the future episode is how to build a custom accessory out of household materials… cotton buds, old toothbrush etc.
This will show more possible custom kits and promote creativity.

  • ghostdein1 on 11/27/2010 at 08:50

MG Death Scythe! I don’t have that kit yet, but would love to win one! Keep up the good work guys!

My friendly suggestion would be a tutorial on decal application, whether dry-rub or waterslide. Also help with using Mr. Mark Setter/Softer or similar decal solution. Thank you so much!

  • Sergio Sandoval on 11/27/2010 at 09:05

The kit that appears is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version. I’d love to see a Perfect Grade build of the 1/60 PG Strike Freedom! That kit is going to massive! I think many people would like to see a build video of this! Thanks Sid (and team) for your awesome work!

  • Ying Liu on 11/27/2010 at 09:09

What Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video?

The Master Grade Gundam Death Scythe.

I would love to see how one would go installing LED lights to gunpla models.

  • Sin on 11/27/2010 at 09:10

The answer to the question is the MG Deathscythe EW Version.

One thing I would like to see in a future episode of Gunpla TV is how Syd come to decide on a color scheme when he is picking colors to paint his kits.

Love all of the episode so far! Keep up the good work! <3

  • aaron young on 11/27/2010 at 09:10

it’s the MG deathscythe EW, i would like to see a short on real touch markers and there uses, and if they are reactive with different types of paints.

  • Jared Spigelmyer on 11/27/2010 at 09:17

It seems to be MG Deathscythe.

  • Jedmir Olino on 11/27/2010 at 09:31

  • dragonfury23 on 11/27/2010 at 09:33

Answer: 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

I would like to see hobbylink do show some SD kits. Like the upcoming SD 00 Qan[t] in December. And also add some funny moments on your future episodes. :)

  • Victor Mo on 11/27/2010 at 09:42

The answer is: 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

I think Perfect Grade or maybe a huge kit like Dendrobium would be a good choice. it’s hard to find a good review or something tutorial video about PG, and me and most of the viewers expecting to see a PG tutorial from Gunpla TV.

  • Henry on 11/27/2010 at 09:46

    a. MG Gundam Deathscythe EW
    b. I’m really enjoying the show so far, but it would kinda be nice to see, once in a while, another kit besides a gunpla kit, maybe macross, SRW, armored core, etc. Also, a PG build would be awesome :D

  • Dave on 11/27/2010 at 10:06

Great episode guys! I don’t know why, but I really dig the behind the scenes look at HLJ. Could be the towers of kits in the background!

Anyway, I think that I may have seen the MG Deathscythe once or twice in the video, so that’s my answer.

There are way too many things I’d like to see in future GUNPLA TV. Picking one might be tough. . . Hmmm. . . since you have already shown us how to use custom parts, you could show us some scratch building/tricking out kits with plaplates. I’m also really curious about how to display gunpla, so perhaps you could show us some of the action bases HLJ carries (or build one?). And if Syd ever branches out from spraycans and buys an airbrush he can give us a tutorial in that.

Either way, looking forward to another 20+ episodes here in Boston. Keep up the great work!

  • Peck on 11/27/2010 at 10:09

it’s the MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

  • Jan-Patrick Villanueva on 11/27/2010 at 10:10

Deathscythe Endless Waltz “Version Katoki” Master Grade

  • Carlos on 11/27/2010 at 10:13

The kit is 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.

It would be cool to see some of the U.C. Hard Graph kits in Gunpla TV, specially the Type-61 tank one!

  • Gundamroxs on 11/27/2010 at 10:20

    1/100 MG Deathscythe Ver.Ka

  • Zhang on 11/27/2010 at 10:20

The answer is: MG Deathscythe. as for fulture videos I like to see a build proces and review of the PG Strike Freedom and more tutorial! Thx!!!

  • Ray on 11/27/2010 at 10:23

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

I like to see an interview with Yoshiyuki Tomino (Gundam creator) in the future episode.

    Thank You!

  • Dennis Sullivan on 11/27/2010 at 10:26

The Gundam in every scene is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version. I think it would be awesome for you guys to show how to do customized camoflage patterns like urban, desert, jungle or even winter ones on Gundams using masks or even freehand. Specifically on Zakus, PMX-003 THE-O The O or some other one that has a military tank feel to the kit.

  • Jeremy Margelony on 11/27/2010 at 10:27

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
The idea i had for your next few episodes was that you could show off how Gun-Pla models have changed over the years like how the newer kits are much more articulate a lot more detail is put in them and how they us a lot less stickers. I have noticed online that a lot of people got in to Gun-Pla cause of Gundam00 and Gundam Seed, I feel it would show newer fans how much work and detail Bandi puts in to making the amazing kits. It gives you the chance to show off all scales of kits like the SD,1/144 HG and FG and 1/100 MG and NG I just feel they changed alot over the last 10 years.

  • Yinfeng Wang on 11/27/2010 at 10:27

1: MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
    2. Have a news segment reviewing upcoming gunpla release.

  • Mark Davies on 11/27/2010 at 10:29

    A. The MG Gundam Deathscythe EW version
    B. I wouldn’t mind seeing (if budget allowed) an in-depth look at using airbrushes, the different types, and all that surrounds them (compressors, paint ratios, thinners etc.). Though I know Syd doesn’t use one, it might be interesting and a valuable learning experience for audiences and maybe even Syd too! Just a thought :)

  • Mark vanWeerd on 11/27/2010 at 10:32

I was wondering what that Dethscythe was doing in all the shots, now I know… Would that be the new MG that recently came out?

Anywho, I’ve enjoyed watching all Gunpla episodes and have learned a great deal through the tutorials. I’ve looked up Gunpla tutorials on youtube and the like and yours are the best! I would enjoy learning more about the different plastics that BanDai uses in their kits, like what’s the difference between ABS, poly caps, etc. when it comes to durability, flexability and all that. And also, is there a material that holds up better when joints are concerned, like are ABS joints more desirable then poly caps? That way, when I see that kit has two dozen poly caps I know if it’s a good thing, or maybe they’re just slacking off by putting them in there.

*after reading previous comments* Looks like it would have been good to mention that people can see their comments but no one elses…

    Cheers to the winners!

  • E.L. on 11/27/2010 at 10:49

The gundam that is shown ’1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version’.
And can you guys show how to do a camouflage paintjob in the future?

  • 3rdman on 11/27/2010 at 11:10

    Hello!

The suit that is seen in every scene (except for Ryan’s interview) is the recent Master Grade Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.

In terms of the second question raised, I would like to see an episode where the people shown in this video, as well as maybe some other people on Hobbylink’s team, show and discuss their favorite model that they have personally built and/or painted/modded.

Thanks for holding the giveaway, and looking forward to watching more Hobbylink.tv!

  • Faizal on 11/27/2010 at 11:11

    I know that gundam kit.
    Answer:a) Deathscythe gundam
    b) I want to know that what is difference between Enamel paint and Acrylic paint

  • Peck on 11/27/2010 at 11:17

erp, the idea I would have is easy ways to get the paint mixes from the instruction booklets if you can’t read/translate the text

  • Norman on 11/27/2010 at 11:25

Hey Syd and Gunpla TV! The answers to your questions are:

    a) Gundam Deathscythe Endless Waltz Version
    b) I would like to see airbrushing on Gunpla TV. There are lots of advanced techniques you can achieve with an airbrush, such as shading and highlighting, that cannot be done with spray cans.

I also like Traviss’ idea about making a girl Gundam, so maybe you should build the Nobel Gundam when it comes out in January.

  • Fermin on 11/27/2010 at 11:27

    Hi
The Gundam is the Master Grade Deathscythe.
And as suggestion I would like to see older kits like the 1/100 no grade of V Gundam or Gundam X.
    Thanks!

  • Gamedingo on 11/27/2010 at 11:33

The MG the appears in every shot is the MG Gundam Deathscythe EW. I think you guys should go and visit the Bandai factory in Shizuoka, and show how a Gunpla kit is made, like the process of molding and such.

  • Viet-Anh Nguyen on 11/27/2010 at 11:51

The model kit that appears in every scene is the MG DeathScythe.
For future episodes I would like to see some examples of how to do shadowing on model kits. I think i heared of two different types of shadowing. pre-shadowing which I think you paint a dark color layer before painting. And then there is the one where you do shadowing after painting. I havn’t any of it yet being that I’m afraid I would ruin the paint job so if you guys can show me some tips it would be awesome.

  • Marcklester on 11/27/2010 at 11:53

    MG Deathscythe
and it would be nice to see something on dioramas
entry level maybe nothing too crazy just more of how some people have been creative displaying gunpla in odd ways

i have made some “low budget” ones (wrestling ring out of boot box,a vaudville stage with lights and 144 deathscythe in top hat, beach scene using those umbrellas from drinks, and so on)
always wanted to catch my cat sleeping good to pose some with string going across him to get a GULLIVERS travels spoof of gundams straping him down

  • lk60 on 11/27/2010 at 13:59

    1) Gundam Deathscythe

  • Tyler Poon on 11/27/2010 at 14:37

    1. MG Deathscythe
    2. Build all the kits for a certain suit ex hg strike freedom, 1/100 strike freedom mg, pg etc and compare them to each other

  • PurePJL on 11/27/2010 at 14:41

    MG Gundam DeathScythe EW version
You should show tutorials on scratch building Gundam Weapons, etc.

  • ZappyZip on 11/27/2010 at 14:43

Looks like MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version is in every shot.

As for what I’d like to see, I would love to see more special paint techniques, like the one you used to get that glossy red on the Sinanju. Anyone can grab a spray can and paint it a standard color, but advanced techniques like that definitely make a model kit stand out better.

And thank you, it’s been a great 20 episodes so far. Looking forward to more.

  • Zufield on 11/27/2010 at 14:48

Well, that’s easy. The kit featured in every shot? The Master Grade 1/100-scale XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe (Endless Waltz ver.). It’s kinda hard to miss.

As for ideas for Gunpla TV? Hmmm… honestly, I’m having trouble thinking of one. Perhaps an episode or two on kitbashing would be fun to see. Or a PG review. Or better yet–a PG build.

Kinda leaning toward the kitbashing, though.

All in all, this was an amusing episode.

  • Huck Fin on 11/27/2010 at 15:01

Answer: the MG Deathscythe EW Version appears in each scene.
Suggestion: It’s kind of simple, but I’d like to see some seam removal techniques. As in, I’d like to see the kind of materials Syd would use to fill and cover seams between armor pieces.
In the event that such a simple request doesn’t really make for a good episode-ender, I’d also like to know how Syd would rectify a bent or warped piece — I’ve had several pieces that, while still on the runner, were accidentally left under a hot lamp and became slightly warped.

  • Aryanto Kartadipura on 11/27/2010 at 15:02

The answer is 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW version, I would like to see more more gunpla building specially Perfect Grade one.

Hi Syd, the gundam that keeps appearing is MG deathscythe gundam. I would like to see more of advanced gunpla building like modifying a regular HG gundam with the use of pla-plates as well as how the different use of paints (like sprays, acrylic or enamel) interacts with the use of topcoats. Thanks!

  • Jorge Rodriguez on 11/27/2010 at 15:33

MG Deathscythe EW version you guys should do HGFC 1/144 GF13-050NSW Nobel Gundam Model Kit

  • Chadd on 11/27/2010 at 15:46

the answer is master grade 1/100 deathscythe gundam endless waltz version and i also want to see reviews of the high grade after war gundam x!!!

  • Christopher on 11/27/2010 at 16:12

The Master Grade Deathscythe was in every shot. However the room where you first showed Ryan does not have the Master Grade Deathscythe in it! Also what I would like to see is you guys going more in depth with the issues of certain gunpla or tell us how to avoid potential problems we may face with the specific model you focus on.

  • Christopher on 11/27/2010 at 16:13

I would please like for you to disregard my double post! I am very sorry, does that make me ineligable?

  • Alexandre on 11/27/2010 at 16:32

I believe the kit is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
I would like to see what kits of the EX series look like, maybe something like the Archangel or the minerva

  • Andre on 11/27/2010 at 16:35

That’s the 1/100 Master Grade Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

What I want to see in the future is that if you can teach us the technique on airbrushing since I’m a newbie on it, like how to use airbrush to make shading effects, panel lines, weathering effects, scratches effects, etc. By using gundam markers, it doesn’t look as realistic as using airbrush.(I saw some modellers make some very good weathering effects and scratches effects by using airbrush)

And thanks for having this hobbylink tv. I’ve learned a lot in here, like I never know there’s this 0.02mm copic marker. I usually use the gundam marker for panel lines’ one and that’s too thick.

Oh and except airbrush and copic marker, could you show us more ways for panel lines? I’ll say panel line is one of the most important on building a gundam.

  • Gundamu on 11/27/2010 at 16:41

    Hello everyone,

Thank you for the contest and all the episodes so far, here are my answers:
    a) MG Deathscythe is the Gundam kit that appears in the scenes;
    b) I’d like to see a review of the MG Zeong or one of the older PG’s.

    Bye for now. :)

  • yuliusmca on 11/27/2010 at 16:42

    when the final deadline?

  • Nekture on 11/27/2010 at 16:45

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe Endless Waltz Version.

Maybe you could feature a small and short viewer submitted section in the episode or instead at occasions a full episode (when there’s enough material) where tips and tricks from the viewers are shown or they can show off their unique designs and explain how certain parts were done.

  • yuliusmca on 11/27/2010 at 16:53

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
    Code: BAN964564 Series: Gundam Wing

I think hobbylink.tv should out of the concept only gunpla.
HLJ can show from other products, many produk from HLJ.
or may assemble Zoid, or may also modify a variety gunpla into 1 model (MG/HG wing zero custom + MG/HG unicorn + modif = gundam pegasus).

  • Feimeng Lor on 11/27/2010 at 17:07

the answer is the MG Gundam Deathsythe EW (Ver KA) and I would love to just about see anything gundam realted :)

  • iceman90 on 11/27/2010 at 17:13

    Here goes,

    a) the answer to the gundam question
1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

    b) tell us what you’d like to see on Gunpla TV in the future.
Its been informative watching basic tutorials. I feel that its time to ‘level up’ and add more complex methods into the mix.
Having sessions on topics such as airbrush painting, diorama making will be nice.
I would like to see easy, cheap and not so time consuming methods of finishes such as the session on enamels on episode 14.

    Here’s to more gunpla tv!!!

  • Evan on 11/27/2010 at 17:18

The kit that appears throughout this episode? MG Deathscythe EW.
Some thoughts for future Gunpla TV?
    1) i dont think you airbrush, but some airbrushing techniques would be cool to see.
    2) more full builds like you did with the FA Gundam. Maybe incorporate some modifications, custom paint, etc in to it.
    3) Perfect Grade.

  • Blerim kamberi on 11/27/2010 at 17:27

MG DEATHSCYTHE and i will like it if you take pics of the kit of the day and show them at the end of the VID

  • Blerim kamberi on 11/27/2010 at 17:29

    thank you

  • Kyle on 11/27/2010 at 17:42

The gunpla kit that appears in every shot is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.

As far as what I would like to see in future Hobbylink.tv episodes; I would very much like you guys to cover hand painting techniques. I have seen some wonderful paint jobs that have been entirely hand panted without the use of a spray can or air brush and would like for you guys to share some of the techniques used to achieve a high quality finish.

  • George on 11/27/2010 at 17:54

Gundam Deathscythe EW, I would like to see some other types of kits like car, plane, spaceship or kotobukiya kits and how they compare to gunpla in color separation, part count detail and do you get different grades like MG, RG, HG

  • Guido on 11/27/2010 at 17:58

The answer to the great HLJ tv gundam question is:
    MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version!

Suggestions: I think Gunpla TV is great! You guy’s show many different techniqeus and highlight some awesome kits. I was going to suggest to build a PG but seems that won’t be necessary anymore :) . I’s also like to see more of you guy’s personal opinions on kits, if you think it’s honestly great or pretty lame. In most Gunpla TV epsiodes it’s just “a really nice kit”. Well It would be great if you guy’s expanded that!
Maybe I missed it but I’d like to see the “shading” techniqeu, It looks really cool and I don’t think you guys already did that.
But most of all: Keep making Gunpla TV episodes!

  • Michael Navarro on 11/27/2010 at 17:59

Hey Syd, this is my entry to the giveaway.

I believe I saw the MG Deathscythe in each of the shots in the 20th episode. I hope I’m right and I win! Also I have a good idea for Gunpla TV: maybe have a FAQ session video for one of the episodes where you take questions and answer them. Or have a weekely or biweekly Gundam News video similar to the late Ngee Kihong’s blog, where you update the community on any Gunpla related news. Best Wishes, and Happy Holidays

  • Sinned on 11/27/2010 at 18:48

Hi, the gundam kit that appears in every single shot in this episode is MG Gundam Deathscythe EW ver. I think hobbylink.tv is doing a great job on expanding the culture of Gundam and Gunpla to people. Even though I know that there has been some tutorial on gunpla, I would definitely like to see more advanced gunpla techniques tutorials (spray painting/mods/etc) in the future. OH!!! Also, maybe some more comedy skits will be great!!! Thank you!!!

  • itay on 11/27/2010 at 19:11

    my answer is MG Deathscythe

  • PhantomPain on 11/27/2010 at 19:29

The gundam shown in every scene (except for the interview) was the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.

As for an idea for the show. In my opinion just building and showing people the kits isn’t really necessary, the internet’s full of those videos. As a gunpla modeler I think it would be a better idea if you thaught some basic modeling techniques in the videos like the seamline removal and the spray painting videos. Perhaps an episode on how to repair some broken joints or other parts? Or an episode about diorama’s, or customizing (more than just adding aftermarket parts)

  • steffen on 11/27/2010 at 20:14

    A: 1/100 MG QAN[T] Gundam
    next: PG Astray Red Frame

  • Ryan on 11/27/2010 at 20:18

    the answer is deathscythe.

i want to see new video of Akguy

  • Claus Hingebjerg on 11/27/2010 at 20:27

    Hi
The gundam in the show is the “1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version”

I would like to see something about the complete painting proces using only acrylics. From basecoat, color, topcoat, decaling, weathering, clearcot, panel lining. Ive had som trouble with this but settled on pastels for panel lining. I think this would be a nice show, since the use of spray cans is a bit hard, since you cant/wont ship the to europe/US…

  • Gyabo on 11/27/2010 at 20:28

The kit which appears in every shot is the MG Gundam Deathscythe Endless waltz version (Ver.ka). I think that it will be cool to show how to use water decals provided with some kits.

  • william on 11/27/2010 at 20:39

the answer is MG 1/100 XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe EW. idea for gunpla tv is accessories that can be build or buy for gundam like repair station, special docking station, launch pad things that can make gundam display more realistic rather than on it a stand or turntable.

  • MLing on 11/27/2010 at 21:10

The name of the Gundam is MG 1/100 Deathscythe Endless Waltz version. And I would like to see the different grades of one model side by side. As a quality comparison.

  • maverick626 on 11/27/2010 at 22:00

1/100 Master grade Deathscythe ( from gundam wing)

An interesting idea for gunpla tv ( at least in my humble opinion ) would be to show easy to do customizations , like adding special verniers , extra detailing lines ( those you carve with the modelling knife) , reinforcing a joint .you know , the kind of small techniques and stuff that can be shown in 5 minutes and give an unique look to your gunpla and model kits in general

  • William. O on 11/27/2010 at 22:47

    1) 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
    2) Suggestion:
It would be lovely to see how these wonderful Gunplas were made in Bandai hobby centre. Maybe, from the layout of the factory, onto the concept design, mold making, injection molding, interviews with a few staff there, statistics of factory capacity, probably then how much money they make (maybe impossible on this one), how green they are…etc.
I know that there’s been a couple of videos of Hobby Insider, but it stopped at episode 2. So, hey why don’t we have the next insider video incorporated into Gunpla TV!!
I understand that there would be a certain extent where Bandai can disclose their factory information, but having a peek at their factory would be awesome. Show the world how these Gunplas were made so we can appreciate how much effort and thoughts Bandai put into their products despite all the praises and complaints each release is inevitable of.

    wish me luck

  • Charles I. Kim on 11/27/2010 at 23:26

So this is the correct place to post it right? Like this specific location? And it’s normal for us to see the post here in this specific location for us to see our answer?

  • Mesmer on 11/27/2010 at 23:42

    a) MG Gundam Deathscythe
    b) I’d like to see a tutorial on airbrushing, with an explanation on different types of paints, primers and finishes for achieving different effect. Also I’d like to see some more on custom parts, specifically replacing/modding eyepieces/lenses and/or adding LED’s. I think i saw some custom items on your site for this, but I’m not too sure. Also, I’d just like to see Syd taking on a new MG, building it from start to finish, in like a 3 part series. It’s just fun seeing someone build one of these kits.

  • job on 11/27/2010 at 23:49

well, i see EW gundam deathscythe or gundam deathscythe ver.ka
and i really would like to see in this site some of the old popular classic kits and for sure, the newer kits that is really affordable to many!

  • Jim Adrian on 11/27/2010 at 23:50

    Mmm. A competition. Sounds fun!

    Anyway:
A.) 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
B.) It would be great to see some work on older kits from whatever grade, and get them modified to today’s standards, not necessarily through extensive modifications like joint replacements and whatnot, since some seamline removal, a fresh coat of paint and maybe a little detailing here and there could do a big difference. I think it’s a task that is quite daunting, but it’s a great way of showcasing the potential(s) of older kits that may have been neglected because they’re outdated and old.

  • job on 11/27/2010 at 23:54

thanks for the opportunity guys!!! :D

  • Victor on 11/28/2010 at 00:03

    a) Gundam Deathscythe EW version
    b) I hope Gunpla TV continues to show different kits of different grades and show more tips and tricks on building gunpla. I wish you could feature more reviews of MG kits.

  • Srihari Tc on 11/28/2010 at 00:48

oh btw… the deathscythe gundam was probably the MG 1/100 judging by the size of it on Syd’s desk, but not enough info wsa given to determine the exact grade or scale. I know the competition is over and all but i just realized this, plus i submitted my answer yesterday so i entered the comp. on time and thise has no effect on my entry… :)

  • Louis Tan on 11/28/2010 at 00:59

My answer for the question is the 1/100 MG Gundam DeathScythe EW Version!

I know that you have already touched on painting using spray cans. Would it be cool if you can have another painting episode and teach airbrusing techniques? And maybe also the differences between spray cans and airbrushing so that i can advance my skill set further?

  • Sebastian on 11/28/2010 at 01:06

The model seen in every shot is the MG Deathscythe EW version. The show has been great so far and one suggestion I’d have is to (if it’s possible) schedule an interview with the people at Bandai and maybe show a tour through the factory. You could ask them about the history of Gunpla and how the kits have evolved over the years. This might not be easy to set up but I’d find amazingly interesting.

  • antonella on 11/28/2010 at 01:17

hi dear hlj the kit in the 20th episode is the master grade wing gundam deathshyte ew version.
fon the next episode i will happy see the rg zaku when bandai release him.

  • Richard on 11/28/2010 at 03:23

Kit which appear on every scence is 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version .

Maybe you could start review some of the Gundam books

  • Dave on 11/28/2010 at 03:59

    I spy the Deathsythe…..

I’d be really interested in seeing a few things for the more advanced modellers. Stuff like pla plating, using photo etched blades for modding snd stuff like that. Also some guides on airbrushing and brush maintenance as well would be useful.

For the regular builds, I’m also interested in the approach to building when you want to paint as the build order wouldn’t be the same as that in the booklet from Baindai. I’m assuming you have to clip parts so you can dissasemble and then glue them back togetehr once the paint job is finished.

Oh, and if you could do that Dendrobium, that would be cool ;-)

  • Patrick on 11/28/2010 at 04:33

    a) The Gunpla kit that appears in every scene of this video is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version!

    b) Something that I would like to see on Gunpla TV in the future would be not just a quick preview of the new items, but also a short portion that would discuss the items that were available for Pre-order, just to see and promote what kits would be coming out in the near future (For example promotion shots of the PG Strike Freedom would be great!). I would also like to see a tutorial on Resin Conversion Kits and how they work (B-Club, etc). Lastly it would be great if you guys could show us how to make small mods such as improving articulation on a few of the old MGs or splitting the fingers on some of the newer Master Grades.

  • Kelly on 11/28/2010 at 05:02

    I can’t even see my answer post…

  • Kelly on 11/28/2010 at 05:03

    nevermind….>_<

  • Joonas on 11/28/2010 at 05:10

The model is Master grade XXXG-01D gundam deathscythe from gundam wing endless waltz.

You could do an episode about building different kind of frames with special parts like diecast joints or screws. I personally have sometimes hard time with the screws when they don’t want to go in properly and stick out. If you have some tips how to work with them that would be great.

  • Greg on 11/28/2010 at 05:15

    a) Master Grade Gundam Deathscythe EW
    b) I’d like to see more in the way of custom jobs, like scratchbuilding parts, things like introductions for people who only usually do basic things.

  • Mathai on 11/28/2010 at 05:31

    1. The answer is Master Grade Deathscythe.
    2. In future episodes I’d like to see gunpla used with accessories like action bases and figure stands and how to best pose and display gunpla.

  • Jeremy on 11/28/2010 at 05:55

do i have to included the grade it is in?

  • Adam on 11/28/2010 at 06:40

    MG 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe custom

How about a little bit on the display options for these kits, the optional display stands, cases etc. I’d also love to see some segments on what to do if you mess something up, something breaks on you, or just fixing a loose joint. It’s also be pretty neat to have some of the more obscure kits spotlighted from time to time.

  • Alex on 11/28/2010 at 07:00

Good grief, I found MG Deathscythe everywhere

  • Nico on 11/28/2010 at 07:03

    Hi guys, funny episode lol
    Answers:
    a) MG Deathscythe EW Version
    b) I love Syd’s tutorials, especially when he deals with customization, so more of them will be more than welcome. Also, more reviews would be cool.

    Thanks guys! Great job!

  • Srihari Tc on 11/28/2010 at 07:22

I just realized that the deadline for the competition isn’t till next friday so i decided to improve on my answer- the gundam kit seen in every scene is the Bandai ( MG 1/100 scale kit released in September of 2010) XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe. My idea for Gunpla tv is for Syd to build the upcoming perfect grade Strike Freedom Gundam from start to finish.

  • Mark Castaneda on 11/28/2010 at 07:39

    a) Its the MG 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe EW assembled kit. b) I’d like to see if you know how to make specially created dioramas. I sometimes see them in Hobby Japan. Basically a stage/environment for the mobile suit to display in.

  • C.L. on 11/28/2010 at 07:42

1/100 MG gundam deathscythe EW version
T^T aww i wanted to see how to get the gates of the unicorn ver. ka titanium fix up the dark gray spots~~

  • KL on 11/28/2010 at 09:01

The answer is: 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version that you built previously.

Future episode I would like to see is the coloring of Gundam using paint brush rather than using spray can or airbrush. This is because not everyone have access to the right colour of spray can or airbrush + air compressor + air extractor set.
Also painting with brush is quite difficult, i.e. getting paint to stick to the plastic etc.

I think it would be great that in each episode, we have basic introduction to a character (the movie/series its from etc), overview of the kit, then follow by some tutorials (it can be something complicated or something as faq or tips based).

  • Leonardo Sutanto on 11/28/2010 at 09:25

    a)Answer to the gundam question:
    MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

b)What I would like to see:
    -More variety of gundams.
-Different type of painting technique, especially on hand brushing and technique on how to mix bottled paint with thinner.

    Thank you!

As for the suggestion perhaps Tutorial for painting plamo using handbrush would be nice to see.Just like Ryan said in video I hope in the future Hobbylink tv show model kits other than Gunpla like Macross kits or SRW kits in the future. Probably frame arms lineup could be interesting.

    a) Gundam Deathscythe
    b) I would like to see more building techniques and styles on future episodes. :)

  • Toxyn on 11/28/2010 at 11:46

    a) MG Gundam Astray Red Frame
    b) I`d like to see videos about upcoming Gunpla. Maybe monthly videos mentioning the releases for the month. Video tutorials on scratch building parts would be nice too.

  • Joshua Reynolds on 11/28/2010 at 11:58

Deathscythe Hell Ver EW is in every scene. :)

and i think it would be cool to revisit some of the old kits. to kinda show the evolution of the inner frame. may show off some weathering effects as well would be great as well!

BTW loved the episode. It was really funny!

  • John Chen on 11/28/2010 at 12:02

    MG Deathscythe!!

You should do reviews of Evangelion kits, Macross, figures (robot damashi, revoltech, ect.), and some more comedy skits!! LOL! They are cheesy and funny, plus it really adds a level of enjoyment to your videos. It gives the show a more personal feeling and that is a good foundation to build large fan bases out of!!!!

I would also like to see a proper tour of your warehouse!! There is one done by collectorDX and it is decent but the cinematography was quite poor. Since you have a nice DSLR camera and proper film equipment you should do Fun Tour!!! Oh, Kudos to Luke!! I am majoring in film and video production in college right now and I really admire his creativity and the post-production work he does!! He definitely deserves a lot more credit!!! I love the intro!! Great job!!!! ;) Anyways pleaaaaseee do an awesome tour of the warehouse!!!

I got more ideas but i dont want to bore you so I’ll end it here!!! Thanks for doing this awesome contest!!!!

  • Lex on 11/28/2010 at 12:13

Heh… that’s kinda funny that the Gundam kit featured in the video is the one I just recently completed… and that would be the MG XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe EW (whic BTW, I did submit my user content for too… hehehe…).

As for ideas for upcoming episodes… how about something about customizing joints and stuff… though it might be a little bit too technical for some.

Okay… how about this instead? How about showcase the basic differences between the different type of kits? Seasoned kit builders would definitely know, but the beginners might not.

I was gonna suggest something about molding, but again, like joint customizing, it might be a bit too technical.

  • Shiaoran on 11/28/2010 at 12:25

Waldo was piloting Gundam Deathscythe (MG).

After this I think it’d be fun to have a best of bloopers video once a month.
I’d like to see different painting methods compared to each other. We’ve already seen spray paint, but what about airbrush, paintbrush and even a 100% Gundam Marker painted kit, which is what Bandai makes us believe to be the best option?
And now that I’m building my MG Musha MkII (purchased at HLJ ;) ), I’ve noticed that the gold paint is very fragile and even panel lining it with a regular inking Gundam Marker will damage it. How to conserve, repair, or replace special runners such as this?

  • Antonis on 11/28/2010 at 12:58

The kit appearing in almost every shot is 1/100 Master Grade XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe (from Endless Waltz movie). I would like to see tutorials of prepainting modelling steps, like eliminating seam lines and filing in gaps with putty.

  • Chen Yongsheng on 11/28/2010 at 13:13

The gundam that appears in every scene of the video is the MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version . In the future episode, i wish that you can do reviews on the base for the gundam, like action base,Tamashii Stage, other type of base that can be used with gundam or even custom base.

  • Dyson on 11/28/2010 at 13:50

The gundam is the Deathscythe MG .. :) … I would like to say also that you’re doing a great job with the program .. keep it like this … :)

  • Orlaan on 11/28/2010 at 13:59

The model was the 1/100 master grade deathscythe endless waltz version and would hope to see how to stiffen loose joints on a model in the future

  • Tyler on 11/28/2010 at 14:21

Also, what happens if you want the LEDs for the gn drive?
can we get the option to receive that when you win?

  • Michael on 11/28/2010 at 14:39

The kit I saw in each shot was the MG Deathscythe and my reccomendation for Gunpla TV is that I would love to see some information on the kits seen here: http://p-bandai.jp/hobby/special-1000000949/

Again, my answer is the MG Deathscythe.

I am really interested in the transparent model kits and hope to see some information/news about them in upcoming Gunpla TV episodes!

  • Prajna Tanuwijaya on 11/28/2010 at 14:56

Its the dear MG Gundam Deathscythe Endless Waltz Version. All i want you guys to do is to do a tutorial on the basic of plaplating. Very hard to find plaplating tutorial on the web..

  • Chris on 11/28/2010 at 15:03

    Hi

My guess is MG Deathscythe and my suggestion is repair tips for joints and and clip on pieces. I would like to hear your thoughts on the subject because I’ve had a few kits fall off my display shelf and the only way I could fix them was to permanent set the joint or piece resulting in loss of articulation or movement.

Keep up the good work guys.

  • Joshua Brown on 11/28/2010 at 15:13

The kit that shows up is the deathsycthe mg gundam that just came out. And my suggestion is to help show how to fix minor master grade problems such exias feet problems. Thanks.

  • clouddil on 11/28/2010 at 15:53

It was 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version. In the future episode i would like to see how to make custom paint for the gundam kits according to the color guide mentioned in the manual because i’m kinda new to kit building. Anyway great job & keep up the good work.

    MG 00 Qan[t] Competition Entry
    Hello,
The kit featured in this video is the MG Gundam Deathscythe.
In the future i would like to see model reviews on HobbyLink.tv.
I really enjoy watching your video’s. Keep up the good work!

  • Loukas on 11/28/2010 at 18:51

    Hey Syd,

keep up the good work. It would be nice at some point to show hot to install correctly the led wiring because in some PGs the instructions are not too clear for us the noobs :D

As for the answer to your competion, the Gundam is the Deathscythe from Gundam Wing series.

  • Jeremy on 11/28/2010 at 19:09

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
i would like to see more how to videos beacuse i am just staring making gunpla and i want to make mine look good

  • Zhi on 11/28/2010 at 19:19

The model that shows up in every scene is the MG Gundam Deathscythe :)

As for what I would like to see on Gunpla TV… How about a runthrough of a history of Gunpla or showcasing some of the older Gundam models for once instead of the hottest thing on the market? This way, newer Gundam modelers can get more exposure to older kits or realize just how far this hobby has gotten over the last couple of decades ^^.

  • Giulio Pontalti on 11/28/2010 at 19:24

I think the kit is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version. Enyway I like gunplatv very much, I love gundams but in Italy the kits are very difficult to find end very expensive.
In the next episodes I would like to see a perfect grade kit or a macros frontier kit (they are not gundams bat they are very cool)

  • David Kinmond on 11/28/2010 at 19:52

The kit is the mg Deathscythe EW. As a comment, I would like go see more of the action behind the scenes, as Hobbylink Japan looks like a great place to work!

  • jose ortiaga Jr. on 11/28/2010 at 20:26

the answer is master grade deathscythe gundam endless waltz version

  • Chris K on 11/28/2010 at 21:19

    a) The kit in every scene is the MG Deathscythe

    b) I would like to see more kit modification on Gunpla TV. Using after market parts, scratch building parts, or use of putty would be great. This is something that I am starting to do, and it is surprisingly difficult to find good information about it.

    Thank you!

I think the answer is 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version by Bandai

I’m new to Gunpla, but seeing your videos and other Gunpla videos on Youtube makes me want to build one.

I like to see videos of building Perfect Grade and Mega Size models of Gundam, and also I like to see a video to compare a difference between and unpainted Gunpla and painted Gunpla

Please ignore my previous post. Thanks

1/100 Death Sycthe (endless Waltz verison). Love the series!

  • Alex on 11/28/2010 at 23:20

I think it’s called deathscythe gundam ew version

could you show us a comparison of the RG zaku 2 and it’s HGUC counterpart?

  • Teejay Lapuz on 11/28/2010 at 23:27

MG Gundam Deathscythe EW is the answer to the question. As for the suggestion, i could only think of more tips on customizing gunpla as well as providing maybe alternative tools to be used that are more readily available in normal everyday stores as it is very hard for the likes of me to get proper hobby tools on the country i am currently residing (ex. having a hard time finding enamel paint to do the panel wash and thinking of using nail polish as an alternative ;-p). Love your site. You have the best gunpla video blog.

  • Charles Chen on 11/29/2010 at 00:10

Hey, Friends from HLJ. The model that is constantly appearing on HLJ Gunpla #20 is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.

In future HLJ.Tv Videos, I like to see more what is selling really well on HLJ. It can be anything; from figure, tanks, ships, cars and not just gunpla ( I love Gunpla ). Also, Hobby shows that are going on in Japan. I want to be more involve in the world of modeling. And maybe HLJ.Tv can help me that. Also, I personally like the humorist touch on Ep. #20, and that characteristic can set HLJ.Tv apart from other blog and Youtube channel. That is it. Thank you for your time!

  • Twisted_Karma on 11/29/2010 at 00:38

    MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Custom

I’d like to see some more detailed weathering and battle damage, beyond the quick knife marks Syd did to the ZZ.
As well as possibly some Gunpla diorama building.

  • Jesus on 11/29/2010 at 00:56

The gunpla kit show in every scene was the MG 1/100 XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe EW.

As for comments, I liked some of Ryan ideas like diversifying to Macross and Maschinen Krieger, but most those kits would need painting. Dunno how well it would work.

On the other hand you have covered the HG, non-grade and MG kit, it was time to cover the PG. But also I’d like to see other stuff like the EX line and gundam universe spaceship kits.

  • Gallen (Adam) on 11/29/2010 at 00:57

  • eko tenggara on 11/29/2010 at 03:14

the answer to the gundam question:
    a) 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

tell us what you’d like to see on Gunpla TV in the future:
    b) I have got an idea for the competition prize.
Instead of giving away a kit, maybe it is better to give away a voucher to be used in hobbylinkjapan. So, the winner can choose the kit by themselves.
Another thing is: I think hobbylink japan should have a special tutorial or small gift (can be shipped together with their next shipping box) that can only be “unlocked” by the hlj’s customer that have spent a specific amount of money for hlj’s gunpla. They can only unlock their prize by watching gunpla tv and post a specific comment.
By doing so, it will boost gunpla’s sale, and it will motivate the gunpla’s customer to keep on watching hobbylink tv. Hope, it helps.

  • Patrick on 11/29/2010 at 03:28

    A. MG Gundam Deathsycthe EW version
    B. i would like to see a video on advance methods of airbrushing, paint mixing, resin cast demo and scratch building for beginners.

The MG Deathscythe Was the kit scene in most of the scene.

Idea : That would be actually great to build one PG Kit.

    a) MG Deathscythe
    b) How to add LED Units to Master Grade Kits (to make the eyes glow, for example). A look behind the scenes of HLJ would also be nice (show us more of your warehouse and how orders get processed).

HLJ’s Gunpla TV is pretty good put i think it could be a few minutes longer. That way you can give an overview of the episode towards the end and give a little more time to talk about the new Gunpla of the week.

  • JOSE on 11/29/2010 at 05:50

The gundam model i saw in every seen was the MG XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe EW Ver.

I think that you guys should try to make the episodes longer i think alot you the viewers would like that. :D

  • Kuroi on 11/29/2010 at 06:09

The Gundam shown throughout the whole video is the Gundam Deathscythe Hell (from Endless Waltz) – I hope I’m right xD

As what I’d like to see in future videos is… how to repair broken parts of a kit or how to get replacements. As it already happened to me three times that important parts broke and normal glue doesn’t really help. It’s kind of frustrating as I doesn’t want to order the same kit again, so… a video about broken parts would be the best for me! :D

Oh, and thank you for all your efforts and this great event of yours~ I love your shop and all the work you put into it – you are the best, HLJ team! x3

  • Richard on 11/29/2010 at 06:12

    It is the

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

    Found here on HLJs website:
    http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN964564

I would like to see tutorials on airbrushing Gunpla in future episodes of Gunpla TV. That and a review of the upcoming 1/60 PG Strike Freedom of course. And maybe not in Gunpla TV but review/tutorials for Macross F kits would rock (They look pretty technical – almost fragile to a point. ^_^

  • Richard on 11/29/2010 at 06:21

Oh and a MG Titanium Finish tutorial would be nice. Being the lazy bum that I am, I bought the “out of the box” titanium finish Sinanju and Unicorn, but it seems that everyone is commenting that gate marks are pretty unavoidable (and ugly to boot).

If I needed to touch up the model with silver and clear paint after building, I might as well have just bought a normal finish and painted it a-la your tutorial. Is there any way to minimise the damage to the paintwork on the Titanium finish kits?

  • James Clowes on 11/29/2010 at 06:38

The Gundam is the Deathscythe! 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version if I am on the money!

As for my suggestion: An episode on putting decals on a custom painted Gundam.

I loved the painting guides. They inspired me to go out and buy some basic primer, 4 tubs of paints (blue, black, titanium silver and gold) and a semi-gloss. I full painted an old gundam lying around in a box somewhere but now I am at the point where I don’t know if I top coat, then decal and then top coat…or decal straight away and top coat after that…or just top coat and decal…so an episode on this would be awesome. Everything I can find online is all over the shop and GunplaTV is what inspired me to give this a go!

Another Suggestion!!!: An episode on choosing two Gundams from the same series (00 Raiser & Mr. Bushido in Masuro!) that duked it out in a massive way and building them both with a diorama (I am not really keen on dioramas but when they are done well they look amazing!).

PS: Gunpla podcast is great! I love throwing the new episodes on my iPhone and watching them on the way to work! And having them on YouTube is even better now cause it is completely mobile! Keep up the great work!

  • Yuri Barbosa Ordeste on 11/29/2010 at 06:39

The gunpla that appears in every shot of this episode is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version . And I think one good idea to gunpla tv would be to show some of the gunpla scene, interviews with custom modellers, people who win gunpla constests to see what thesy think about gunpla in general =)

  • Marc on 11/29/2010 at 06:52

    A) The model is, 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
    B) I want to continue to see more gunpla building techniques, and when you run out of methods, I want to see the new stuff released. I think I would have ignored the MG Big-O if it wasn’t for your video, also that “gundam girl” in the video looked kool, but I don’t know how to make it (or I’m scared to build it alone). Teach me the how to for: gundam girl, Kamen Rider, that bandai DBZ Master Grade Goku, and maybe Ship modeling too.

  • Chi Shing Poon on 11/29/2010 at 07:23

Answer: 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version
I think you should slap some more people s head….just joking.I think you guys should tell us some news about Bandai releasing Gunplas and make a stop motion video of your gunpla or makesome Gundam Photography. That would be cool to watch….Ryan come on!Let him build some big gunpla!

  • Wes on 11/29/2010 at 07:36

The Gundam kit that appears in every scene of Episode 20 is:

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version!

As for what I’d like to see in a future episode, I’d love to see something maybe concerning the basics of building dioramas, and incorporating Gunpla into them. It’s something I’m interested in but know nothing about.

By the way, thanks for all the hard work and great episodes so far. They’ve been extremely helpful to me as I get into this hobby.

  • Amari on 11/29/2010 at 08:23

    1.gundam deathsycthe (early version)

    2. What I think would be cool to see is a combination of gundam model. I think it would awesome if you could take two gundams and take different parts to make one gundam, and of course paint it all the same color. Just an idea of mine that I’ve been wanting to do once I get good a building gundam kits.

I just wanted to thank you so much for all of the videos they have really helped me to learn more about this hobby and with my latest gundam 00 1/144.

    Thanks,

    Amari

  • Michael on 11/29/2010 at 10:14

The Gundam kit that appears is the 1/100 scale MG Deathscythe EW Version.
I would really like to see a Gun Tank or a Mobile Pod Ball build up. They are both different than a standard Gundam and require a different approach to the build of the kit.

Keep the episodes coming. I really enjoy them. Thanks

  • Dmarksny on 11/29/2010 at 10:57

The mobile suit in every scene is the MG Deathscythe Ver. ka.

As far as a new ideas go. I’d like to see Syd tackle a Perfect Grade kit. Or I would like to see some tips on repairing loose poly cap joints or common modeling mistakes (like broken pegs). A segment on scratch building might also be interesting.

Love the show, keep up to good work.

  • Tommy on 11/29/2010 at 11:24

    Deathscythe from Gundam Wing
What other Gunpla kits i would like to see is the Red frame or have syd review the new perfect grade strike freedom

  • Mad Mike on 11/29/2010 at 11:50

Looks like the MG Deathscythe. What would I like to see? Some PG’s, and how to do more custom stuff would be cool.

  • HLJ : Luke on 11/29/2010 at 12:33

Just a heads up, the competition ends this Friday the 3rd of December so get in your answer before its to late. Also if you feel the need to spam us with the answer because you feel its the best way to get noticed, this will affect you in a negative way and will not bring you closer to winning. If by chance you made a mistake and posted twice by accident that is no problem.

  • Danny on 11/29/2010 at 12:43

    MG Deathscythe?
Diorama building would be nice. Or some advanced techniques that we can all try. Something like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGVv0dJP8FQ), but in English :) .

  • noe on 11/29/2010 at 13:45

The kit shown in every scene was the 1/100th MG Deathscythe EW. it think you guys should do an episode or episodes on how to plan out a custom paint job from start to finish

  • Robby on 11/29/2010 at 13:52

I think the answer is the MG Gundam Deathscythe and my idea is that you should show the comparison between the different versions of kits such as the differences between the HG Gundam Exia and the three different forms of the MG, or the differences between the 1/60 Strike Freedom and the PG when it comes out, Thanks for all your work, love the show

  • Rob McKay on 11/29/2010 at 14:50

The answer is mastergrade deathscythe EW.

I think it would be great to see the MG Acguy. I have heard great things about it and its a classic grunt unit.
Also i would love to see a Char Aznable special showing off his mobile suits ETC.

  • z3r0717 on 11/29/2010 at 17:44

    a) 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version always appears in every scene in this video

    b) Gunpla Tv should show the process of pre-assembling a kit for the process of painting later. Although it is easy but it’s good for those who are new to gunpla.

  • Jay on 11/29/2010 at 19:04

Hey Syd, my answer is 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW version, my idea is showing further customizing like scribing additional panel lines, adding pla plate etc to create detail.

  • Augis on 11/29/2010 at 19:22

The Deathscyhe MG is only one most noticed kit in 20th video.
I think it would be nice to see a comparison videos between different scale gundam kits , like hg vs mg , or like .
Btw, you doing a great job on tutorials , especially for beginers it’s valuable lesson how point to most best results, pity those videos idea wasn’t available 3 years ago , when i started to build gunpla .

it’ll be cool if u can show how do you deal with the nubs on clear parts especially with all the 30th anniversary kits and their sheet of clear parts. :) and keep pestering ryan about the dendrobium. :D or maybe the meteor unit or ptolemaios

  • Zechs on 11/29/2010 at 22:20

    b) more contests, Gundam fansites review

  • Robin Tay on 11/29/2010 at 22:21

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

What to see next? Maybe a start to end process of how the kits are made. i.e. Designing process of the kits, to runner production at the factory, building of the kits (which you have done extensively here). Another idea, a newbie’s guide on building pro grade kits. More tutorials on where to cut the runner and have a quality finish without spending too much time on it. Something like that.

PS: Keep up the good work!

  • Gavin Manners on 11/29/2010 at 22:45

The new 1/100 MG Deathscythe appears in every scene!

  • She Kei Foo on 11/30/2010 at 09:19

The answer is the new MG XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe.

To be honest, Bandai should have released all the suits from Gunda Wing in MG around the same time period as the HGs. Although for the last little while, they have been re-releasing a bunch of older ones with newer features.

Anyway, sorry for the short rant.

As for inputs/ recommendations for Gunpla TV, I would like to see more on modifications (beginner and advance technics) because a lot can be done on one single HG or MG. An example would be in Episode 16 for the Sinanju 144 couldn’t the range of the back leg thrusters be extended? I believe Hobby Magazine has some tips but it’s always better to have elaborations and a video version of it. Also in an earlier episodes for the full armour, you built your own shield. I would like to know how to make your own custom parts from scratch with varies of plastic sheets. Also a number of kits have wings on them, so I would love to see the wings extended with plastic sheets.

  • HLJ : Luke on 11/30/2010 at 09:33

As for my suggestion, can you do a tutorial on painting with a brush. I can’t buy spray cans since I’m under 18 and I cant afford an airbrush. So I would like to see a tutorial on how to use a brush.

    That or build a Dendrobium

  • Marc on 11/30/2010 at 16:53

I still find it funny when the boss was looking through the magical girl costumes.

@HLJ lol, just for the record, that guy named mark, who is posted b4 me, is not me. I didn’t double post to increase my chances. Fair competition pl0x.

  • HLJ : Luke on 11/30/2010 at 17:02

@ Marc that is Ryan, Scott the boss of HLJ was not featured in the video.

  • Matt on 11/30/2010 at 17:05

    1/100 Deathscythe!

I would like to see some basic air brush techniques as well as what airbrushes and compressors you recommend for different jobs/skill levels

  • Arthur on 11/30/2010 at 17:42

    1) The model that was featured in all scenes was the MG Deathscythe

    2) What I would like to see on Hobbylink.tv are tutorials on what materials are needed to make a nice diorama/base for different types of terrain: ie. desert, forest, space, hangar bay, etc.

  • Allan Mendez on 11/30/2010 at 18:09

at first, great show you guys are doing and keep it up.

now my answer to you question is…

    MG Gundam DeathScythe EW Version.

now this is just a suggestion. i think it would be nice to have special effects in between you videos. funny ones. and also some bloopers. i would totally love it.

  • chunlau on 11/30/2010 at 19:42

The anzwer = MG Death Scythe

Since this channel’s related to gunpla, maybe abit more info/input from Bandai. i.e. interview with Bandai HQ, show the process how they decide which kit they plan on release, the format of the kit, HG, MG, PG or RG. etc, some interviews with professional gunpla modelers, seeing how they go about modify their gunpla kits

  • Sonic on 11/30/2010 at 19:50

The answer would be the Wing Gundam ver Ka ?

  • Shinra on 11/30/2010 at 20:48

Answer) MG Deathscythe Endless Waltz Version!

Haha, was wondering why it kept popping up in each scene

Idea) Not sure if this has been done, but an introduction to using an airbrush, what equipment is needed, how much it costs, the advantages/disadvantages over spray paint

  • Brendan Oi on 11/30/2010 at 20:58

When will next gunpla episode show?

  • Fung Yee on 11/30/2010 at 21:13

The Gundam kit featured in every scene is the MG Deathscythe
Many of your videos show viewers how to make their kits look good etc which i find very useful. I’d want to see something creative being shown in future Gunpla tv, now that you have shown the audience how to construct their kits, do something creative with them and use it to inspire the viewers. For example some stop motion animation, i’ve done a couple on youtube though they’re quite amature, here’s the links if you want to see:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MamBqVHydIA
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4e4ANiala4
For me, stop motion animations with a bit of humour tend to intrigue me, If you do get the chance to produce any, i’d be interested to see the production process too and any tips you could offer.
Another idea could be gundam art, using the gundams to create a sculpture, applying 2D designs onto the gundams (you could even ask viewers to submit some gundam artwork)
Well that’s what i’ve got in mind and i just want to say thank you to you guys for making these videos. Just seeing your massive storeroom makes me so happy…So i guess u guys who have constant access to it must be ecstatic! Keep up the good work and best wishes for the future! xx

  • Carlo on 11/30/2010 at 22:50

can i try resending my answer with the suggestion for the new gunpla episode cause i don’t really know how to put my answer until now…cause i was just checking if it show to everyone

  • Regan Tan on 11/30/2010 at 23:53

in all the shots Death sythe MG was in it
there weren’t any gundam model in the shot with Scott
i was wondering if you could show a episode on how to customise gundam by combinging a few together ot how to use putty in hollow crevasse

  • Lee Jian Wei on 12/01/2010 at 00:31

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version.
I enjoy all the episode in Gunpla TV. It cool and fun.
I wish in the future episode of Gunpla TV:
    1) Some special guest appearance.
    2) Introduce latest detailing kit/accessories
    3) Do some special episode – HLJ Anniversary, Bandai Factory Visit and so on.
    4) Viewers can summit their Gundam pic for Syd or expert to comment and marks.

I hope to see some changes in the near future for Gunpla TV.
    Long Live GUNPLA TV.
    Thank You.

HLJ: can you see my answer? I posted it at 10:00 last night.

  • Keika on 12/01/2010 at 01:49

    Hi,

I reckon the gundam seen in each shot is the Gundam Wing Deathscythe.
I would also venture the guess that it is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version actually on sale…

    Thank you

    K.

  • Igor Bremec on 12/01/2010 at 02:46

The answer is: 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

I would really like to see Macross kits on Gunpla TV in the future.
While I know Macross isn’t Gundam I found Ryan’s suggestion of exapanding to the Macross series really appealing.

I also think it would be cool if Syd would show us his Gundam collection sometime.
Seeing all those gundams on his desk and knowing he builds new ones all the time, one has to wonder exactly how large his collection is :-)

P.S. Keep doing a great job guys ;-)

  • Ulysses Vega on 12/01/2010 at 03:10

How about in the next episode that you show us of how to use the airbrush in Gundam Model kits

  • David on 12/01/2010 at 03:16

The name of the Gundam is mg 1/100 Deathscythe Ew Version. I would like to see some more PG!

  • David on 12/01/2010 at 05:13

As for what i’d like to see…a Perfect Grade! Preferabley the new Strike Freedom PG! Would be awesome!

  • Ken on 12/01/2010 at 06:23

MG Deathsycthe EW version is the model that is seen in every scene. lol

  • Ken on 12/01/2010 at 06:25

one thing I would like to see done more is customization videos of kits.
putting detail up parts and also a brief discussion with 2 people in HLj about gunpla would be nice. what they each think of the kit. kinda of a ebert n roper kind of thing.

Custom paint jobs and etc. would be nice as well

  • Ken on 12/01/2010 at 07:11

    im jus wondering.
so i can see my answer but others can’t?
    but if not

Hey! hey! my answer is showing. lol

  • Wei Yu on 12/01/2010 at 08:26

The Gundam is the Deathscythe. More specifically I think it is the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version. One think i want to see is a resin kit (never saw it before it was finish) or how to make and paint a resin kit. On youtube there is a Kshatriya resin done by vegeta8259. Or do the hardest gundam ever made. Also a stop motion video.

  • HLJ : Luke on 12/01/2010 at 09:28

  • job on 12/01/2010 at 10:07

    oh ok, tnx guys!!! :D

  • Carlo on 12/01/2010 at 10:14

What Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video?
-i think it’s the 1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version in some sort of titanium finish or in extra finish cause whenever i check the kit the yellow part is kinda gold and the white parts looks like shiny gray .

-for a new gunpla episode i think Syd should make the 1/100 MG MSA-0011 Ex-S Gundam review cause in the opening he look’s he’s ready to snap the parts out of the runner.

  • Blerim kamberi on 12/01/2010 at 10:52

i cant wait for episode 21

  • Pat on 12/01/2010 at 10:54

The Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video is MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version. I hope to see a size comparsion between Gundam models in your videos. For example: HGUC kit compares to a HGUC Kit, MG kit compares to a MG kit…etc. The HGUC Sinanju stands beside the HGUC Unicorn. If you don’t have a certain kit, you can always compare with the original Gundam RX-78-2. Thanks!

  • RJ on 12/01/2010 at 11:01

Haha the MG Deathscythe EW version was everywhere.

Also, you should show some spray painting tips and tips! I’m having some problems painting my Gundam TT__TT

    Thanks HLJ

  • vegobo on 12/01/2010 at 11:17

will there only be one winner? sorry to ask.

  • HLJ : Luke on 12/01/2010 at 11:23

@ vegobo there will be a few winners, you will have to stay tuned to Gunpla TV to find out more info.

  • Jordan Lopez on 12/01/2010 at 12:06

the gundam is 1/100 MG gundam deathscythe ew version and my idea to see in future episodes is MG gundam unicorn

  • Keika on 12/01/2010 at 13:02

Sorry, I forgot to mention the idea for the show.
I think that you could add some japanese guests to the show. If you can some of the gundam series creators, or even some otaku with a massive knowledge and collection who could show us some tricks to build nice gundams.

    There it is.

    K.

    A. The gundam kit that appeared on every scene was the “1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version”

  • Mike on 12/02/2010 at 05:16

Hi, not too concerned about winning the free Gunpla, but I’d like to see more Bandai PG builds on Hobbylink TV. Not only step by step builds, but paints used, and detailing tips. For example, Mr. Color vs. Tamiya paints, gloss vs. flat, how to panel line, etc. Thanks!

  • jason on 12/02/2010 at 06:32

    it is deathsythe gundam

  • TSrtijker on 12/02/2010 at 06:37

    Hey HLJ

My answer to the question is:
1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

    My idea for the show:
What love to see sometime how Bandia actually makes these gundam kits. Have seen some you tube videos about it but they are all in Japanese whit out subs.
I also would like to see how you can put LED’s in a gunpla for the eyes or something els. That would be cool to.

Also keep up the good work. I like your videos a lot.

  • kris corlew on 12/02/2010 at 07:32

And I would like to see kit reviews.

  • Patrick on 12/02/2010 at 09:15

What Gundam kit appears in every scene in this video?
Answer: MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

Also you can do video on up coming kits, before the actual product been release, like the PG Strike Freedom..but that can be bad for HLJ, like when they found out if it’s not a good kit they won’t get them.

Or video on damage/weathering effect, airbrushing and fully painted kits, not just OOTB ^_^

  • sudathsi on 12/02/2010 at 09:16

  • Petruta Iancu on 12/02/2010 at 09:50

    hi all,

From what i see the kit is deathscythe and what i would like too see is a pg review or a review of the mega size char zaku that will be released in december.

Sorry for the bad spelling, i’m writing from a phone without a qwerty keyboard.

Answer to Question: MG Gundam Deathscythe EW version

Suggestions: Video on new items/releases or maybe even pre-orders on HLJ. How about a segment on Super Deformed Gundam? maybe paint one? ^_^

  • Tyler on 12/02/2010 at 11:26

the competition is not over yet right?
i am guessing the anwer is the MG Death Scythe
and one suggestion i have for you guys is maybe you can show us how to do some simple battle damage to our model kits if that isn’t too hard

  • Mark D on 12/02/2010 at 12:45

1/100 MG Gundam Deathscythe EW Version

For a suggestion, try announcing some of the new releases and upcoming products for preorder at the end of each episode! :D

  • Chris on 12/02/2010 at 12:47

The MG deathscythe EW is shown throughout. Maybe do some videos on sd kits, and the positives on how they are. They’re a great practice kit for trying out new techniques and paintjobs.

I haven’t seen much of your episodes yet, so I’ll just go ahead and suggest something. I say you guys take on the HGUC Char’s Zaku II and mod it so it can come close to the RG Zaku. Far out, but sounds cool. :3

  • Aqua X on 12/02/2010 at 15:00

Hello, my suggestion is a stop motion mini-series using Gunpla. To reflect the customization aspect of the show, you could have the characters of the series be your own custom Gunpla such as that yellow Sinanju.

And as for the name of the shinigami, it’s the 1/100 MG XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe EW version.

  • plamo on 12/02/2010 at 15:40

    b) What i want to see in Gunpla TV in future: More reviews on latest MG and HG kits, description and certain modeling tactics to apply when building the kits. Updates on later release kits and soon to be released in Japan and polls for fans to vote their favorite kits to be released. Continue the great job :)

  • Ronn on 12/02/2010 at 19:48

    A. 1/100 Master Grade Gundam Deathscythe Endless Waltz Version.
    B. Could you compare the inner frames of the MG Zaku II Ver 2.0, to the RG Zaku II.

  • Lemons on 12/02/2010 at 21:09

The recurring kit is MG Deathscythe.

As for GunplaTV, I’d like to see more in-depth model reviews. The tutorials are fantastic, but mix it up a little, right? Maybe we can have some tours or interviews to get to know the HLJ staff and their hobbies?

  • Laura32 on 12/02/2010 at 21:35

    Ok, here goes

a It’s the MG Gundam Deathscythe EW version

b In future episodes of Gunpla TV, I’d like to see a bit more on how to display model kits. Besides the Action Base 1 and 2, what other stands does hlj sell on which you can display gundam kits, because there are so many different kinds of stands. Also, turntable bases, the Mechanical Chain Bases by Kotobukiya, and the Lightning Base look really nice, maybe you can show it to us in the future?

Also, the Gunpla contest earlier this year showed some amazing Gundam diorama’s. Maybe Syd could unleash his inner Bob Ross by showing us how to create a landscape in which we can display our kits.

Thank you and good luck on future episodes!
    Laura32

Rare to have gunpla shops and markers where I live. Only places are down in London so would like to see alternatives to what is available ie from where you can just buy from craft shops or stationary.

    Thank You.

Answer: Master grade Gundam Death Scythe

Thanks for creating HobbylinkTV! Throughout the episode your guys have created, i had gain alot of knowledge in gunpla.

Even though HobbylinkTV had already covered alot of area in gunpla. I think that viewers would like to learn how to recreate their favourite scenes in their favourite Gundam series. I would like to see in the future is how to create damage mark for example simple bullet holes or slash mark. This will enable viewers to be able to model their Gundam according to the scenes they like and pose them for display or for phototaking.

Thank you for listening my 2cents worth~
