Here’s my finished kit. I estimate I put about thirty hours into this build, hope you guys like it. The only thing I’ve left to do is take some nice photos and submit the entry. There are some amazing pieces of work here and I hope you guys had as much fun as I did, best of luck to everyone!
WIP 08: Got the panel lines and decals done. I used a few of the dry transfers included with the kit but most of the water slides are HiQparts aftermarket decals with a few others I had lying around. I got all the topcoat finished and I’m waiting for the top half to dry. Next post will be my last.
Dang man, loving that ground GM type color scheme. Looking forward to the final results. You definitely put more details and effort on the inner frame than I did. Dig it.
WIP 07: I got the main outer armor parts painted, which means I’m finally finished painting. Last wip I said I’d “try something new” that being, I used C1 Metalizer on the…
Your GM Sniper is looking great so far, can’t wait to see it painted. I was gonna use an LED on my sniper but not enough time to do everything I originally planned. I’m curious, did you use an SMD LED or just a regular old LED?
WIP 06: Masked up the blue thrusters on the bottom of the feet and finished off the grey pieces. Masked up the vents on the legs and also added an extra rectangle…
WIP 05: Most of the inner frame is now painted, I ran out of crocodile clips to paint all the parts in one sitting. Another painting session planned for Friday, which I’ll finish off the dark grey frame parts.
WIP 04: Finally got started painting. The red parts are painted light blue and the dark blue parts are now a popping orange. I’ve also just started priming the grey frame pieces. Slowly but surely with this build.
WIP 03: Didn’t get as much done since the last WIP with final year college work, but still getting places. I decided to remove the antenna on the head as I just thought it…
WIP 02: Took care of the seam lines on the weapons using cement and putty, had to modify the sniper. Cut off the square piece on the barrel that pegs onto the main body of the…
Thanks man, there seems to be a good few GM sniper II’s so it’ll definitely be interesting to see all the end results. That GM was my first attempt years ago at shading and using block camo.
WIP 01: Finally got the kit snapped together. All parts have been sanded and the nubs have been taken care of. I thought that there were a few bad nubs on this MG so more attention and sanding required. Now the really fun stuff can begin.

Fair play to ya, its good to see another irishman doing gunpla, i thought i would never see the day. Have the GM sniper II its pretty unique for the build and simple. I love the swapable hands gesture too.
Finally my competition kit has arrived from HLJ to Ireland. It’s the new GM Sniper II, I’ve got some interesting choices in mind for this awesome kit. Stay tuned!
