Good to hear your able to get some modelling in. Must be a busy life there at HLJ suppling all us fans 🙂
– thanks heaps by the way, best store on the net.
Please show some WIP’s of the Buck Rogers Starfighter if you can. I loved that show when i was a kid. They need to make a kit of that little robot Twiki, lol
We interrupt this Buck Rogers Starfighter to bring you an emergency build of the new Bandai VF-1 Valkyrie!
Obviously I’m not done yet, and I’m rushing it together for this weeks Gunpla TV, but I must say I’m really impressed so far. I’d prefer a larger scale, but the delicate detail and mechanism in this kit proves just how incredible Bandai’s…[Read more]
can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait………..sorry, that was my inner child speaking. what i meant to say was…..omg omg omg omg omg (hands shaking, dancing on the spot) 😛 LOL
There are a few design choices on this Valk that I really wish Bandai had made differently… It’s kind of a shame because otherwise I do think this kit has a lot going for it.
One of the popular criticisms of this kit on Macrossworld has been its large head – though I think that was actually a good move for battroid mode – but it does make…[Read more]
I’m waiting on my Hasegawa VF-1J 30th anniversary to arrive. Kind of curious how those huge decals will turn out.
It’s probably a lot similar to what Tim’s building so I’ll take his word on the awesomeness level of the kit itself.
Now that my Tallgeese is done, I’ve turned my attention back to something I started about a year ago: The Buck Rodgers Starfighter that Brian (yes, that Brian) gave me for my birthday a while back. I’m sure many of you may note even know what this thing is. No worries, there’s always YouTube: http://youtu.be/yoF0a32DhLw?t=1m
couldn’t get enough of this show when i was a kid (am i that old?) lol
its still a great design tho, even after all these years. looking forward to seeing the progress and end result. by the way, thanks HLJ 🙂
You go, man! Glad to see you finally getting around to that one. It’s sure to be a challenge in that “1979 tooling” kind of way. Perhaps I should take this as a gauntlet being thrown down and jump on my Starfighter…I had two of those suckers, you know! Man, I lover that show as a lad…and still dig the Starfighter design. A timeless classic!…[Read more]
Oh wow! I can’t wait to see you complete this one! I had one as a kid, but it has since been “retired” (I think my friend and I shot BBs at it. What can I say, we were young back then and kits were plentiful and dirt cheap).
Oh wow, that looks disastrous! But I’m sure you’ll do a good job and I’d love to see a video of the build on Gunpla TV, sir! Just like the very informative one you did for the Tallgeese…
