Shizuoka 2010: Bandai

Kamen Rider Double

2010 marks the 30th anniversary of Bandai’s production of Gundam kits, and the company is celebrating with the launch of their new “Real Grade” kits.  Featuring an inner frame that snips off the runner with joints that are already fully working, the assembly time has been significantly reduced without any compromise in the kit’s appearance or ability to pose.  In a nutshell, these new products, staring with the RX-78-2 as usual, are essentially Master Grade-level kits in 1/144 scale.

It would also appear that Bandai’s “Figurerise” series of kits is set to explode!  After staring with Son Goku from Dragon Ball last year, they’ve now shown off upcoming releases of Vegeta and Trunks as well as Luffy from One Piece.  But the kit nearest release is that of Kamen Rider Double in his standard “Cyclone Joker” scheme (see photo above).  See the shots below for more on these great upcoming kits!

With the announcement of the GM Kai at Shizuoka, and the Zaku F2 recently released, I wonder if we’ll see a HGUC Xamel fairly soon.

Love the Core Booster and the Gundam Raphael and Harute kits. Hopefully kits of the Core Boosters from the other Gundam series and movies may make a future appearance (got any influence Scott?). Very suprised that Bandai is still not doing anything from the Yamato Rebirth movie or the live -action Yamato movie due out later this year.
